Silence the Miser with Generosity

69

“Silence the angry man with love. Silence the ill-natured man with kindness. Silence the miser with generosity. Silence the liar with truth.”
― Gautama Buddha

The 6 of Pentacles is where we learn about generosity. Is it generous to give that which we do not really need? Is it generous to give with a sense of resentment in our hearts?

Because generosity requires an acute ability to sense the energetic flow of give and take in order to adjust so that it resonates with Higher Will, it is also a lesson of boundaries as much as surrender – especially if we are prone to giving because we easily get ‘guilted’ into doing so or simply have not yet learned that ‘No’ is a complete sentence.

This card asks of you, ‘Are you a giver or a taker?’ Take your time. Think not only of other people but also of Mother Nature. Be honest. There is no judgement.

Affirmation: “I give with a glad heart and receive gracefully.”

6 of Pentacles Prayer

Dear Mother-Father God (or whichever higher power you acknowledge), thank you for helping me be aware of the flow of give and take. Help me receive gracefully and gratefully, and to give with a glad heart. So mote it be! (listen to prayer on Instagram)

  3. dear lisa, it is always enlightening to read your thoughts. thank you for shaing them. i appreciate seeing you in my inbox, but think it is best to do it when you are inspired and not because you have committed to it and feel pressured to perform….even if it is irregular, it is always special and thought provoking…and even if only one person is touched by it, or even only you are touched by what you have written, it is worth putting it out in the world, in my opinion. and as a former blogger….
    so thank you.

Thanks Eileen, the inspiration to write is there daily. And I agree, even if it touches just one person (even if it is just me) it is still worth doing. However, I am aware that people often go into social media overwhelm and I didn’t want people to feel as if I am spamming them with a daily newsletter. The blog is here for anyone to find and perhaps that is enough? I appreciate you taking time to comment. Blessings

  4. I really like these daily inspirational. I particularly find the prayer and affirmation extremely valuable. Several timesaver the last several weeks I was struggling with fomenting in my life and using both helped tremendously.

That being said, don’t wear yourself thin trying to get them done according to a certain schedule. I’ll simply be grateful whenever they show up.
