Tiwaz – Rune of Cosmic Law
It could be argued that our very existence is a dream but it is still a dream with rules. When miracles happen they do not happen outside cosmic law but in perfect harmony with it. Miracles belong to the realm where faith makes an impact on the choices we make. The more choices we make that align us with our Higher Self, the more miracles we will start experiencing in our day-to-day reality.
What we must understand that Spiritual Law is often different to the laws of man. Sometimes, it is necessary to break the laws of man to be fully aligned with Spiritual Law. This takes tremendous courage and moral fortitude and this is why Tiwaz is also a rune of courage as well as cosmic law and order.
This rune also connected of being a (wo)man of your word. Keeping your word is essential for being able to harness the positive forces of cosmic Law.
Stripped back meaning based on the actual word and shape
This rune is connected with the letter ‘T’ and the god Tyr, ruler of Tuesday (tisdag in modern Swedish) in Asatru.
In other parts of the world, the ruler of Tuesday is considered to be Mars and interestingly, the shape of this rune is very like the top bit of the astrological sign for the planet Mars ♂.
