Intuitive Two Choices Tarot Spread

Got a ‘two choices’ type question? This intuitive layout is the Tarot spread I use for tuning in and choosing the path that best aligns me with Higher Will. This post is best read after this general post about reading intuitively but feel free to continue reading if you are already used to reading the cards intuitively and without set positional meanings. Basically, you read this in three groups of three cards. The first three cards tell a story about your background and where you’re at now with regards to the choice you are facing. The second group of three Tarot cards shows you how things are likely to progress if you go down the path of choice A and the third group of three cards show you how things are likely to progress if you go down the path of choice B. The tenth and final card should be chosen from a Majors only deck and this is the card that tells you the real issue your Higher Self is facing behind the bleedingly obvious outer circumstances and your own indecision. Blessed Be!...

Modes of Communication Tarot Spread

Have you ever started a relationship with someone that you connected with at a very deep level almost instantly? You meet a few times, have a few laughs and then slowly the misunderstandings start creeping in. In spite of the deep connection, you realise that your communication styles are very different from each other, and perhaps…

The Ultimate “Will He Come Back?” Tarot Spread

The Ultimate “Will He Come Back?” Tarot Spread

This is one of the most often asked questions I get as a Tarot Reader.  It is hard to move on without knowing the answer if we still love the one who left, even if we know in our minds that moving on is for the best. In some cases, when it’s clear that you have had a narrow escape, it might be better to suggest cord cutting rather than looking into if the abuser will be back… but in the end it’s not for the reader to judge. We all have free will and it is a well-known fact that many many people on this planet choose to live in co-dependent and/or toxic relationships. Sometimes relationships fall apart and we are quick to judge the other person, blaming the breakdown on them when really we know that it takes two and you are just as responsible as they for creating the dynamic you had and that led to the breakdown. Anyone who has been around for a while will want to avoid taking sides when the relationships of friends fall apart for this very reason. Those who do take sides often had a vested interest in seeing the relationship end to begin with, or they are manipulated into taking sides. There are ways to supporting the one who is hurting without playing the blame game, and I say that having lived long enough to play every position in the field… But I digress. I woke up this morning with the image of a door-shaped spread in my head: If what you desire deep down is hidden behind a magic door, what would the door look like? What kind of lock would it have? What is the key like? Are you holding the key? What is the handle like? What does it feel like to push the door open and step through? Granted, if applied to the desire to reconnect with an ex, this implies that unlocking the door to an AWOL lover is in our control. We all know it isn’t as simple as that. However, the cards can give us clues about what we can and can’t do to reconnect in this situation. The Magic Door Spread truly is a magical spread in that it sheds light on all aspects of the desire to reconnect as well as the best way forward (if there is one). 1. Your motivation – The first card shows you the real underlying reason for your desire to reconnect. It indicates if you want them back to soothe a bruised ego or if there is true love there. It tells you if you feel that you didn’t learn all you needed to learn or if you are just struggling with letting go. 2. & 3. What you had – These two cards represent the relationship dynamic you had in the past and...

The Ultimate Compatibility Tarot Spread

The Ultimate Compatibility Tarot Spread

“Based on the questions we both answered, we’re a 0% love match. That means we’re 100% compatible, once I enlighten her to the correct perspective on life.” ― Jarod Kintz Compatibility is a tricky thing. I believe many of us put way too much stock in instant chemistry, hoping that high levels of initial attraction will sustain the flame of passion, when really what we truly need is to build a firm foundation of friendship. To do so we need both emotional and intellectual compatibility. Instead we begin projecting our hopes and wishes on the other person we are physically attracted to, trusting that they will change to conform with those wishes. Yeah, you know that never happens and it is easy to spot this dynamic from the outside! Yet so many of us ‘forget’ when it comes to ourselves… So let’s start at the right end and analyse potential compatibility with a little help from the Tarot. Below is a great spread to use to see if you are compatible with a new partner as well as to see where you are at in your relationship with a current partner. It doesn’t tell you how the relationship will develop but rather gives you information and valuable insights which will help you make the right choices. The layout below was created using the gorgeous Incidental Tarot deck by Holly DeFount. Do check out her Etsy shop! The first group of cards represents how you communicate. a) is how you communicate, b) is how s/he communicates and c) is what dynamic you are likely to create at the minute. The second group of cards represents your actions and how you move in the world. a) is you, b) is him/her and c) is how you would move together in the world… what impact you would have on people around you and how you would be perceived as a couple. The third group of cards is perhaps the most vital as it shows your ability to love completely. This group of cards can reveal issues on the heart chakra level. a) your ability to love b) his/her ability to love and c) what sort of love dynamic you create as a couple. This card is at the bottom of the spread because it forms the foundation of the relationship. Personally, I like to work with Elemental dignities for this type of reading but feel free to use another method if this suits you better. You can also take the quint for each of the groups to gain further insights. The quint is taken by adding the value of the number cards and the Majors together (don’t include the court cards) and reducing them to a number less than or equal to 22. This number will then correspond to a Major Arcana card and insights into the spiritual lesson for each group of cards. The...
