Blind Dowsing for Mr Right Now

Sooooo… You’re not sure which one out of the two guys now vying for your attention is the right one? There can only be one answer: neither – at least for the role of ‘The One’… because when your soul recognises The One, all others fade into the background. But that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy some good company along the way, especially if you are not certain that you are ready to settle down yourself! Today’s post is more of a vlog really and I’m using my webcam so apologies for the picture and sound quality. I hope you can make out what I’m saying / showing and if you have any questions, please feel free to ask in the comments section on YouTube or here on the blog. For this divination technique, you will need pen and paper, two or more envelopes, a pendulum, a deck of cards… and, if you so desire, a candle to light before you begin, in order to invoke your guardian angel.   Angel Blessings Lisa...

123 How I Read the Tarot Cards Intuitively

Posted in Divination | 3 comments

Many of the readings I do are based on a question rather than a set spread such as the Zodiac spread or the Celtic Cross. After many years of doing readings, I have reached a method for reading intuitively that is flexible, flows and allows me to connect with the question at hand on a deep energetic level. I almost exclusively use the story spread method for question-based readings. The story spread uses a group of three cards that tell a story. While you still rely on traditional card meanings to a certain extent, visual clues and how the cards ‘interact‘ becomes more important. For more complex questions you can use several groups of three. In the picture above you see how I usually lay the cards out in story spread format when I read on a relationship question. The Seeker’s cards are to the left, the partner’s to the right, the relationship dynamic (as a separate entity) forms a ‘bridge’ between the two and just above the two groups representing the lovers. Below you find advice cards for the Seeker and the central card provides the current theme. This gives us a total of 13 cards – the number of Death/Transformation. A coincidence? Of course not. My other favourite is three rows of three (aka the 9 Square). This roughly renders the past at the top, the present as the middle row and the future at the bottom. The central card is the key to moving forward and the first card sets the tone. The final outcome can roughly be seen in the bottom right card. I say ‘roughly’ because the whole spread is like a psychic canvas and the cards start moving about, forming their own combinations and whispering their secrets to me. Give it a go – don’t be afraid to rely on your intuition in your readings! Blessed be! Lisa...

Three Types of Men to Avoid and Sociopath Survival Checklist

Posted in Divination | 15 comments

MUMMY’S BOY – This one still lives at home at age 44. He’ll have very good excuses for doing so (divorce/unemployment etc), including being close to his mother. But this is not a man who loves his mother – it’s someone with an unhealthy tie to his mother, which is making him dangle from her apron strings in one way or another. There are quite a few of these who actually hate their mother and make no secret of it, yet they seem incapable of breaking free. How he’ll make your life hell: On some level he will always be comparing you to her. If he loves her, you will never be good enough and if he hates her, he will keep spotting similarities between you. What he looks like in the Tarot: Look out for combinations of his significator court card together with The Empress and The Devil (or the Empress reversed on her own if you read with reversals). He is more likely to show up as a Knight than a King but if you read with reversals, a reversal of the Kings can also signify immaturity. Often there is an emphasis on Water sign energies in their chart – hence I chose the Knight of Cups in this sample trio: THE BULLY – this guy uses various forms of bullying to get his way. At first it will be subtle… maybe simple withholding to show disapproval of what you are trying to accomplish in your communication. This is usually a guy who will blow hot and cold… first to ‘test’ you and then to control/manipulate you. He may have had one or two narcissistic or psychopathic parents and may display these traits himself. Father issues may be the root cause. How he’ll make your life hell: He will do anything he can to undermine your confidence and is less than liberal with verbal affection. Do not be mistaken, to this guy everything is about power and his words and actions are a means to gaining more power and staying in control. In his case, sex has nothing to do with actually making love and everything to do with proving that he is the alpha of the pack. His heart is shut down and shrivelled up and if you are at all emotionally well, you will be giving this guy wide berth right from the start. Those most at risk for hooking up with this type of guy are those raised by narcissists themselves because this type of behaviour then seems somewhat ‘normal.’ What he looks like in the Tarot: a)  The aggressive sub-type, aka the hot-head: The Emperor will show up, usually in the company of the Knight of Swords and possibly the Tower. The Tower and Emperor can both point to anger issues and the Knight of Swords can signify a more or less complete lack of...

Dating the Knight of Cups

Posted in Knights | 2 comments

Looking to date an über romantic guy? Need your man to compose his own love poems for you? The Knight of Cups is the guy for you! This is the man who as a young boy used to include a handwritten poem in the Mother’s Day card. He is the one who used to get scolded for daydreaming by his teachers, but who stunned the very same teachers with his imaginative art, writing or musical composition. Often quite shy with the opposite sex, he’s a later bloomer when it comes to dating and getting to any sort of ‘base.’ However, once he gets a handle on lurve, he’s firmly stuck on romance. He’ll never be single for any longer period of time after that. And if he does have singledom enforced on him, he’s constantly yearning for and jonesing after the ever-elusive ‘One.’ Because of his obsession with escaping reality, he may sometimes turn to drugs for relief from the scourge of day-to-day living. If you’re dealing with the addicted Knight of Cups, you may want to look at  8 Types of W*ankers instead. Pros: He loves romance and won’t spare any trick in the book to woo you. He is creative and may well inspire you to become more creative too. He is passionate and this extends to the bedroom. Very, very steamy sessions ahead with this guy! He is usually faithful. Cons: Can be emotionally obsessed with the object of his desire. Jealousy can be a very real problem with this guy. His escapist tendencies and artistic temperament can make it difficult for him to hold down a job. If he’s not up, he’s down and if he’s not down, he’s up. There’s very little middle ground and this is something you could potentially find emotionally draining. Type of date he prefers: A moonlit beach. He’s brought his guitar, of course. Time from your first date until you introduce him to your parents: About a week if you’re ‘The One.’ He’s probably already moved in by then too. And yes, he’ll be the one moving in with you – straight from his mum’s (no matter what age he is). Wedding style: Careful. This one could turn into a bit of a groomzilla. He’ll want full control of all the artistic elements of the wedding! Type of dad he would make: A natural bard and storyteller, your children will find him absolutely fascinating. Nobody but nobody tells a better bedtime story! Just don’t count on him to remember everything on the list when he goes shopping. He probably left the list itself on the dresser rummaging around for his car keys. It’s a bummer if he forgets to buy nappies but the kids will survive. His best match: The Queen of Pentacles as a) she keeps him grounded and b) already bought an extra pack of nappies on a buy-one-get-one-free offer the week before. His worst match: The Queen of...
