The Tarot Professional Spread

the tarot professional spread

In today’s post, I’m sharing the Tarot Professional Spread. I created this Tarot spread to help Tarot pros achieve a deep sense of purpose, a better connection with their clients, clearer messaging, and practical biz guidance.

Pros

The journey of a self-employed professional Tarot reader is paved with rewarding experiences that extend beyond the realm of traditional employment. One of the most gratifying aspects is the ability to connect deeply with individuals from all walks of life, offering guidance and insight through the wisdom of the Tarot. As a conduit for spiritual exploration, the reader aids others in navigating their life paths, which can be extremely fulfilling.

There’s also the freedom to dictate one’s own schedule and methods, allowing for creative expression and personalisation of the reading experience. Furthermore, self-employment in this field affords the Tarot reader the opportunity to continuously grow both personally and spiritually as they delve into the mysteries and archetypes that each reading uncovers, constantly honing their intuitive skills and knowledge.

Cons

However, this path is not devoid of challenges. One significant obstacle is the necessity of wearing multiple hats—as a Tarot reader, you are also a businessperson responsible for marketing, client relations, and financial management. This can be daunting as well as time-consuming. The unpredictable nature of income as a self-employed individual calls for a savvy approach to finances. You must learn to plan for feast and famine cycles.

Authenticity is another challenge; remaining true to one’s own reading style and ethical standards in an industry with varied practices and expectations can be demanding. Moreover, scepticism from mainstream audiences can require constant effort in educating potential clients about the value and legitimacy of Tarot readings, which is sometimes an uphill battle in a world where conventional careers are more readily accepted and understood.

Tarot Professional Sample Reading with the Hanson Roberts Tarot

1. Where I’m at spiritually with my work as a Tarot professional – King of Pentacles

The King of Pentacles suggests that you’ve established a strong foundation for your Tarot business. You approach your practice with practicality and a sense of responsibility. There is a level of spiritual maturity here indicating that you understand the importance of grounding your spiritual work in real-world application.

2. Work-related challenge to being in alignment with my soul’s calling – 6 of Cups

The 6 of Cups points to a nostalgic tie or a yearning for the simplicity of the past. This could indicate that memories or old connections are holding you back from fully stepping into your calling. Revisiting the past, however, can offer valuable lessons for your soul’s journey.

3. What I need to release to align and move forward with purpose – The Star

The Star indicates hope and inspiration, but in this context, it suggests the need to release idealistic expectations or the pursuit of perfection. Understand that your path is unique to you, and aligning with your purpose means accepting that not every aspect of the journey will be clear or perfect.

4. What I need to embrace to align and move forward with purpose – 10 of Cups

Embrace the energy of the 10 of Cups, which speaks of emotional fulfilment and joyous relationships. Foster a sense of community and connection in your work, which can help in moving forward with a sense of purpose and happiness.

5. What I need to know about my messaging – The Lovers

The Lovers card emphasises the importance of making choices that are in harmony with your values and communicating this to your audience. Ensure that your messaging reflects your ethical stance and personal truth, engaging clients in a dialogue that resonates with their core beliefs as well.

6. The main challenge to being authentic – The Tower

As The Tower denotes upheaval and sudden change, being authentic may disrupt the status quo or challenge existing structures in your life. The real challenge lies in allowing authenticity to transform your practice even when it feels disruptive or uncomfortable.

7. What I need to release to attract new clients – 6 of Wands

The 6 of Wands suggests success and public acclaim, but it may indicate the need to release the ego’s attachment to recognition. Stay humble and focus on the meaningful impact of your work rather than external validation.

8. What I need to embrace to attract more of the right kind of clients – Justice

Embrace the qualities of Justice: fairness, balance, and truth. By embodying these principles, you’ll attract clients who value an honest and ethical approach to Tarot readings.

9. Action to take for financial viability – 7 of Wands

The 7 of Wands advises you to stand your ground and defend your value. It could be time to assert your place in the market, perhaps by emphasising your unique qualities or by confidently setting appropriate prices for your services.

10. The main challenge to prospering as a Tarot reader – 3 of Wands

The 3 of Wands represents foresight and expansion. Your challenge may involve looking beyond your current horizons and exploring new opportunities for growth. Are there new markets or avenues you’ve not yet pursued that could enhance your prosperity? Could you do some networking with other readers?

11. What I need to release to make room for abundance – Temperance

Temperance signifies balance and moderation. This suggests that an overly cautious or measured approach might be limiting the flow of abundance. Consider where you can let go of the reins and take more risks.

12. What I need to embrace to live comfortably – Queen of Swords

The Queen of Swords calls for clear communication, intellectual insight, and honesty. To live comfortably, you must embrace clarity in your thinking and dealings. Use discernment about your finances.

  1. Hi Lisa,
Thank you for sharing this spread. So I just did this and since I don’t have clients yet I put it into future tense. When I asked question 5 I got the tower. In position 6 I got the 8 of wands, in position 7 I got the World and in 8 I got the king of cups.
I read this as being able to pack a punch (the tower), needing to slow down (8 of wands), focusing on my clients goals fully (the World) and having the courage to show up for them when they need me (king of cups).
That tower threw me off though. Does my interpretation make sense?
    Thanks!
    Laura

Hi Lara, thanks for sharing. In the most positive aspect The Tower means the ability for your readings to tear down ego constructs. That can only be a good thing! Blessings, Lisa
