Happy Solstice, friends. Today’s Pick-a-Pile Tarot readings are a gentle (and sometimes not-so-gentle) nudge to pause, reflect, and realign. Whether you began 2025 with crystal-clear goals or simply hoped to move forward with more intention, these midyear check-in readings can help you course-correct, rediscover your centre, and move into the second half of the year with renewed clarity and harmony.

My 2025 Midyear Check-in
In this universal 9-year of completion, I find myself deep in the labour of my personal year 4 — the year of foundations. But instead of a smooth process, it’s felt more like trying to build a cathedral with my foot on the brake of the CAT and Mars shouting at me over the radio.
Number 4 is ruled by Mars, and let’s just say Mars doesn’t have much patience for precision or pacing. It just wants action — any action — even if it’s flailing. At the same time, Saturn (ever the long-game strategist and ruler of my Capricorn Sun, Mercury, and Venus) has been turning up the heat and the pressure. No shortcuts. No fluff. Just bricks, mortar, and bone-deep truth.
R.I.P Tarot Hive
Earlier this year, I tried a few new things — including launching The Tarot Hive website and newsletter. I have no regrets. That platform was a sacred experiment. It helped me reconnect with my Divine Feminine compass and led me, step by step, toward what I now know is my true work: the path of Christo-Sophianic Tarot and Wisdom Teachings.
Through the tension between action and contemplation, striving and surrender, something became crystal clear: The only foundations worth laying are the ones we lost.
We lost so much when the Library of Alexandria was reduced to ash and smoke. And we nearly lost all of Mary Magdalene’s Gospel. We lost feminine wisdom, oral traditions, sacred rites, and direct gnosis. But now, as we approach the threshold of the Age of Aquarius, the Age of the Holy Spirit, it’s time to rebuild from the remnants. It’s time to remember.
And so, I’ve returned to the root, and to a project long seeded in silence…
Introducing The Serpent & The Dove: Daily Oracular Light
This is my resurrected Substack, reborn with a deeper purpose.
The Serpent & The Dove weaves together mystical Christianity, Sophianic wisdom, and oracular insights — one candle’s worth of light each weekday. The format is simple, inspired by Lectio Divina and the rhythm of sacred devotion:
- A short video reading
- A brief contemplative commentary
- A prayer to centre the heart
- A journaling prompt to take it deeper
Think of it as your daily drop of oracular honey in a world too busy to remember its soul.
If you’ve been feeling the call to reconnect with Christ-Sophia, to rebuild what was broken with beauty and gnosis, or simply to receive a small daily transmission of light, I invite you to walk this path with me:

Pile 1 – Midyear Check-in

1. Lesson from the First Half of 2025 (What to release/carry forward)
You’ve been asked to lead with vision, possibly more than you anticipated. The King of Wands represents not just charisma, but the kind of creative leadership that requires consistent inspiration and bold moves. If you’ve stepped up, well done — that confidence is yours to keep. What to release? The need to always be “on.” Carry forward the fire of inspiration, but give yourself permission to rest from the performance of it.
2. Your Current Growth Opportunity
It’s time to rule with clarity and discernment. The King of Swords is calling for mental discipline and truth-telling. You’re being asked to cut through noise and emotional static, to approach current situations with logic, fairness, and a cool head. This growth phase is less about passion and more about precision — you’re honing your inner strategist.
3. How to Nurture This Growth (Practical step)
3 of Pentacles says, ‘Don’t go it alone.’ Collaboration is your key practical step. Whether it’s learning from others, co-creating something tangible, or seeking feedback, you grow best in community now. Show up as both teacher and student — you’ve mastered some things, but others have mastered what you need next.
Pile 2 – Midyear Check-in

1. Lesson from the First Half of 2025 (What to release/carry forward)
This has been a leap-of-faith kind of year so far. The Fool reminds you that innocence, trust, and open-heartedness have guided your steps. Keep the spirit of wonder and adventure, but it’s time to release any reckless optimism that has led to avoidable detours. Let the free spirit remain; just give it a compass.
2. The Tower – Your Current Growth Opportunity
Here it is: the breakdown that becomes the breakthrough. The Tower is tearing down false constructs, roles, or identities that no longer serve you. It’s raw, it’s real, and yes — it’s uncomfortable. But this is a sacred demolition. What’s crumbling is the very thing that was standing in your way. Your growth lies in surrendering to it rather than scrambling to save it.
3. How to Nurture This Growth (Practical step)
Stop, hang, and see things upside down, Hanged Man-style. Your next step is not a step forward but a suspension — a conscious pause. Shift your perspective, let go of control, and be willing to see what the Tower reveals from a higher angle. Insight will come through stillness and voluntary sacrifice, not striving.
Pile 3 – Midyear Check-in

1. Lesson from the First Half of 2025 (What to release/carry forward)
You’ve had to stand your ground, and possibly defend your position more often than not. The 7 of Wands says you’ve proven your mettle. Carry forward the courage and self-belief this brought you. Release the sense that you must always be on the defensive. Not every hill is worth dying on, and not every opinion needs defending.
2. Your Current Growth Opportunity
Now’s the time to sharpen your wits. The 7 of Swords often speaks to strategy, but also to the murkier realm of shadow work. Where might you be deceiving yourself? Where are you relying on old mental patterns or tricks to get by? Growth means coming clean — especially with yourself — and choosing integrity over convenience.
3. How to Nurture This Growth (Practical step)
Return to innocence, but not naivety. The 6 of Cups invites you to reconnect with joy, kindness, and memories that heal. Practically, this might look like revisiting an old creative pursuit, spending time with soul family, or healing a relationship from your past. It’s through simple, heart-centred acts that your cleverness becomes wisdom.
