Capricorn is an Earth sign and Earth is considered a feminine Element. However, Capricorn has a fatherly energetic imprint. Capricorn is a sign of authority and resilience. It’s a sign of preservation, structure, and stability. Capricorn likes to preserve tradition. With Pluto currently (2021) in the sign of Capricorn, much of what Capricorn would like to preserve is being broken down. This creates resistance and tension. At the time of the upcoming Full Moon, there will be many other aspects that contribute to this tension but here, in this Full Moon in Capricorn Tarot spread, we will focus on Capricorn energies.
A Full Moon is a culmination and sometimes represents a harvest of seeds sown on the previous New Moon in the same sign. It’s the most potent time for lunar magick, just as the summer solstice (today!) is the most potent time for solar magick. The Moon reveals that which is hidden. It illuminates the sphere of the psyche. Hence, a Full Moon is a good time to do psychic work and to weed out what we need to release on the Waning Moon.
Authority Issues
During a Full Moon in Capricorn, we have a chance to look at how we are dealing with authority in our own life. Ultimately, a mature expression of the Full Moon in Capricorn energies means a deep inner trust in our own authority. We stop looking to others to guide us and provide us with what we need. This is the polar opposite of the Cancer energies.
As always, the Sun is in the opposite sign of Cancer at the time of the Full Moon in Capricorn. The Cancer energies seek to nurture, sometimes to the point of creating a co-dependent dynamic. Self-reliant Capricorn vehemently opposes this dynamic. Look at your own chart where this push and pull of energies may be taking place. Seek balance between your inner qualities of nurturing and expressing authority.
Crystal Remedies
As the internal dynamic we have around authority is being illuminated by this lunation, we may find ourselves feeling a bit vulnerable. This is especially true since the Capricorn structures that we thought would be around forever are starting to crumble now. I’m not talking about just on a personal level. The whole banking system will undergo a total makeover, for instance. Globally, we are facing what the NWO Cabal has dubbed ‘The Great Reset.’
Though none of the world leaders would come out and admit it in public, they all rely on psychics and astrologers. They are using the current celestial energies in full awareness. Unless we do the same, we continue to be in a pattern of reactivity to their relentless attempts at complete dominance and totalitarianism.
To bring yourself into balance at the time of the Full Moon in Capricorn and to assert more authority in your own life, work with the crystal Garnet. Other crystals, such as black tourmaline or hematite may work as well. However, garnet is the premier Capricorn crystal.
Full Moon in Capricorn Tarot Spread

Whether or not we see ourselves as leaders, authority is a quality that implies leadership. This may involve taking charge of our own lives and assuming greater responsibility. However, eventually, we are all called to step up to the plate and use our authority to guide, teach and reassure others who lack experience in our area of expertise.
What we must never ever do is outsource authority over every aspect of our lives to someone else or to a governing body. They may or may not have our best interests at heart. When we witness wrongdoing by others in a position in authority, it is our duty to use our own authority as sovereign beings to challenge that authority.
- An expression of authority that needs attention
- What is blocking this expression within me
- How to use this expression of authority for the Highest Good
- Where I am called to lead (external circumstances, groups, etc)
- How to make sure I keep my authority balanced with nurturing

I remember when Regan was the president and Nancy Regan openly consulted with Astrologers and people laughed at her. But, boy oh boy her predictions were correct.
