Spirit Communication

spirit communication

By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God; and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God; this is the spirit of the antichrist, of which you have heard that it is coming, and now it is already in the world. You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.
They are from the world; therefore they speak as from the world, and the world listens to them. We are from God; he who knows God listens to us; he who is not from God does not listen to us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.

1 John 4:2-6

Last night, I had a dream. I was litstening to some guru in a park talk about how his followers could get the spirits to serve them. I had just casually stopped next to a pond behind him to have a rest but as soon as I heard him lie to the people that had gathered there, I stood up and faced the audience: ‘Spirits? He means DEMONS!’

Some laughed at me but some believed and one man shouted, ‘I love when people keep it real!’ My dream is preparing me to testify against the lies of the occultists who want to make you believe that you can be your own god and command spirits at will.

I’m being called to do this because I served the Father of Lies as an occultist myself for 20 years. Like so many others, I was well-intentioned but good intentions do not turn lies into truth.

The Acid Test

People have approached me both in the comments here on the blog and via private messages, asking me for my opinion on various occult practices and what tools might be okay for a follower of Christ to use. I am no theologian, nor do I consider myself an expert on your spiritual walk but God has laid on my heart to keep sharing what I refer to as ‘the acid test’:

“Does the particular occult practice you are tempted to engage in promote trust in the Lord or does it enthrone you in His place? Does your practice lead to peace or does it leave you feeling like you have to keep striving for ever greater levels of unattainable perfection?”

Spiritualism

When I was developing as a spiritualist medium, there would be great leniency against the lies and misinformation that would come through from the ‘spirit realm.’ I found that hugely unsettling. Surely, if this is from God, there would only be truth? Which ‘Father’ do spiritualists worship? Check out their ‘7 Principles’ HERE.

In the section about ‘God the Father,’ there is no mention of Jesus Christ. Similarly, in the section about ‘Compensation and Retribution,’ there is no mention of the redemptive work of Christ; It’s a system of rewards and punishment, based entirely on our own merits and deeds.

I love my spiritualist friends – they are full of good intentions – but I know I know they are being lied to, just as I was. Correct and detailed confirmation coming through is not proof that the work they do is of God, not if it is mixed with lies, and in my own experience, it invariably is.

Spiritualism is a form of necromancy, the Dark Art the demons love the most since they are Death Eaters. Add a ouija board to the mix and you have a full on Hell Fest. A common term used by spiritualist mediums is to ‘power up’ before they start channeling.

Powering up, though dressed in terms of love and light, has nothing to do with the grace of God or the Holy Spirit – It is about raising the false light of Lucifer. God have mercy on anybody involved in these practices.

Spirit Guides

A couple of people asked me about whether I had stopped communicating with spirit guides and whether I thought that the addition of spirit guides was okay if you also prayed to God. I recommended applying the acid test to the situation and explained that I no longer had any desire to add ‘spirit guides’ to my walk with God. When God fills us with His Holy Spirit, we want for no other guidance.

In the post from the other day, titled ‘Angels & Demons,’ I speak of my experience with one ‘spirit guide’ who was clearly straight from the Pit of Doom. Not all of the spirits bother disguising themselves as beings of light. Those who embrace their pain and make it their reality, sometimes find darkness and creatures of the dark more comforting than angels of light.

Witches like to make the distinction that they, unlike Lightworkers, are not afraid of the Darkness or the creatures that move in it. I suppose that makes them slightly less blind to the spiritual reality they move in. However, the ‘acid test’ remains the same.

Also, do you need God or do you need spirit guides? People often feel as if God is remote, far away and impossible to connect with deeply. Spirit guides, on the other hand, are seen as accessible. Listen, God is as close to your heart as you let him be. The truth is that he wishes for nothing more than an intimate, radical relationship with you! Through Jesus Christ, you can have that intimacy with God.

Tetelestai

The last thing Jesus said before he drew his final breath on the cross was, “‘It is finished,’ and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.” (John 19:30). It is finished is translated in the greek as the word tetelestai – a statement used on financial documents to show that a debt had been paid in full.

“for everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Romand 10:13

Outside Jesus Christ, I have not known peace for myself. I could be some freak of nature, except millions testify to the same. God wants that peace for you and you can have it now. You don’t have to spend thousands on courses and tools. You don’t have to wait until you can start attending church. The price for that peace has already been paid on the cross by Jesus Christ.

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
