Find Thyself, Know Thyself and Keep Thyself

Identity – A Tarot Love Haiku

If you let love steal
All you have and who you are
What is left to give?

Today’s draw is from the Frideborg Tarot and the Higher Intuitions Oracle.

The 7 of Wands (Mars in Leo) is a card of standing your ground, fighting the good fight and can also indicate a need to defend yourself and/or your personal boundaries. In the Frideborg Tarot, there is a Police alarm box in the picture. The meaning of the cards is: Be alert – Someone could be trying to get one up on you. Fight for what you have and what you believe in and don’t forget that you can always call on the Powers That Be for help!

Find Your Identity from the Higher Intuitions oracle speaks for itself in terms of card meanings… It is very easy to start overgiving when you love someone; Empaths often subconsciously start taking on more and more of their partner’s traits and interests in order to preserve peace and harmony. All of a sudden they can find themselves isolated from the world around them, inside the safe cocoon of love they built for themself and their beloved…

It should go without saying that this is not healthy. A healthy relationship consists of two whole people with a strong sense of individuality and interests/friendships of their own. Waking up to a loss of identity is a rude awakening indeed and getting it back takes longer than losing it. Worst of all is when this happens at death or divorce/separation. But it is never too late and the message of the 7 of Wands still holds: you can always call on the Powers That Be for help to find firm ground under your feet again. Align vertically and you can slowly but surely begin to align horizontally again, from the still point within.

Pause and meditate for a minute on how precious your uniqueness is to the One who made you:

I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.
~ Psalm 139

Don’t lose yourself, Dear One!
