Your FREE Week Ahead Reading
Happy FriYay, my friends! Are we all still hanging in there after the first few days back to work? It’s time for the week ahead forecasts and this week we are working with the Thoth Tarot deck. For general guidance, I have pulled one card each from the Secret Language of Color Cards and The Jesus Deck.
Take a minute to relax, let go of tension and centre your energy before you make your selection above. You can also let a digital randomiser choose for you, if you prefer. Both methods work.
General Spirit Guidance for the Week Ahead
Red from the Color Cards oracle brings a message about freeing ourselves from pain. Interestingly, Red is the colour associated with desire – the source of all human suffering according to the Buddha.
In the Christian faith, the colour red is used to symbolise both the blood of Christ and our human sinful condition. You will notice Satan looking rather rosy in the 4 of Matthew card.
Yes, we can free ourselves from much of the pain and suffering we have to endure during our earthly existence but sometimes we need help. We can learn to say no to temptation but we can’t undo the source of our regrets… and sometimes we simply can’t free ourselves from addictions or other harmful behaviour.
The deeper we have fallen for the illusion that this world can satisfy all our needs, the more difficult it becomes for us to free ourselves from pain. We have to exchange our desire for worldly happiness for the the desire for God’s grace before the pain can be removed.
Surrendering and admitting our own insufficiency can take the pain and suffering away in the blink of an eye. As soon as God’s love and grace rush in, we can breathe again… We are free.
Some people use the beautiful Ho’oponopono prayer to open up to this kind of grace:
Please forgive me
I love you

1. You chose Tarot card 18
The Prince of Wands in the Thoth Tarot corresponds to the Knight of Wands in the Smith Waite Tarot. This is passionate Leo energy and the chariot of this prince is drawn by a lion.
You feel passionate and full of desire this week. Your have an appetite for play, drama, sex, adventure and/or travel and will most likely have several opportunities to sate this appetite.
Leo energy is inherently generous, charismatic and magnanimous. You would do well to use this energy to attract the right company into your life. Shine like the sun… but avoid acting rashly.
2. You chose Tarot card number 2
The 6 of Swords corresponds with Mercury in Aquarius. Its title in the Thoth Tarot is ‘Science.’ This is excellent energy for problem-solving of any kind.
The 6 of Swords usually indicates a time of moving forward after a time of trouble and turbulence. Things are beginning to calm down and you will have more peace of mind.
Make the most of this energy by learning something new as your mind is sharp and clear this week. This is a great week for successful communication… Make that phone call or write that important email! You may also be called upon to act as a mediator – something you will no doubt excel at.
3. You chose Tarot card number 3
The Princess of Cups in the Thoth Tarot corresponds to the Page of Cups in a Smith Waite Tarot deck. This is Earth of Water energy. Unlike for the Smith Waite Tarot, I don’t tend to read the Princesses as children.
Spiritually, I see this Princess as a bhakta archetype. Her life purpose involves deep, heart-felt devotion. She is most happy in a relationship (whether human or divine) where she can give of herself fully and be in a constant flow of unconditional love. She is the ultimate contemplative – Mary Magdalene personified.
Pay attention to the whispers of your heart in the week ahead. Honour your emotions and ponder the object of your devotion. Is your love flowing freely? How can you free yourself from emotional pain/heartache?
