Hi, I’m Lisa (Tamar Iris LeFay), your friendly neighbourhood esoteric sleuth, writer, Tarot practitioner and mystic. I migrated from Sweden to the UK in 2002.
If you’ve found your way here, you’re probably less interested in being told what to think. You’re more interested in learning how to see clearly. Great, because that’s the heart of my work. Rooted in the Western Mystery Tradition, it draws on practices that cultivate discernment, deepen spiritual understanding and return authority to your own lived experience.
My Path into Tarot and the Western Mysteries
I grew up in Stockholm during the 1970s. My Sámi grandmother lived in the far north of Sweden. Staying with her during the school holidays left me with fond memories of the midnight sun (less so the mosquitoes). She was a natural seer who would put the kettle on moments before unexpected visitors arrived. She could also read the coffee grounds left in the bottom of a cup after someone had finished their coffee.
At 15, I gave my first Tarot reading using a cardboard cut-out deck from a magazine. What emerged in the cards helped a friend find the courage to disclose the sexual abuse she was experiencing at the hands of her stepfather. That experience taught me that the real gift of Tarot isn’t prediction. It’s to witness the truth and speak it with courage and compassion.
In my late teens, my path led into Evangelical Christianity, where I developed a lifelong love of Christ and the Scriptures. Around the time of my first Saturn return, I stepped away from organised religion and found myself exploring the wider currents of the New Age and the Western Mystery Tradition. That journey continues today through Esoteric Christianity, Neoplatonic philosophy, Renaissance magic, theurgy, angelology and the symbolic language of the Tarot.
How I Work
Tarot remains my primary symbolic language and the foundation of everything I do. Alongside it, I study and work with astrology, angelic traditions, mythology, the runes and other symbolic systems that illuminate the deeper patterns shaping our lives.
Over the years, I’ve shared this work through teaching, writing, professional readings and speaking at the UK Tarot Conference.
Angelorum is where I explore Tarot through the lens of the Western Mystery Tradition, bringing together practical Tarot spreads, angelology, astrology and esoteric studies to help readers deepen their relationship with Divine Wisdom.
In 2026, I also launched LisaEddy.co.uk, a more personal home for my research into metaphysics, consciousness, symbolism and the questions that arise where ancient wisdom meets modern life.
Whether through my writing or my Tarot readings, my aim is never to tell you what to believe. It’s to help you develop a deeper relationship with the symbols, archetypes and patterns already present in your own life.
