White Chestnut Bach Flower Remedy

White Chestnut Bach Flower Oracle

White Chestnut is the Bach Flower Remedy for looping (persistent), worrying and negative/unwanted thoughts. It can help restore peace of mind.

I feel the crystal green calcite has a similar effect.

Prayer of St Francis

It also makes me think of the Prayer of St Francis, which is about replacing negative thoughts with thoughts that inspire hope and compassion:

Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy.

O, Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love; For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; it is in dying that we are born again to eternal life.

White Chestnut Tarot Correspondence

In the Tarot, I have paired this Bach Flower Essence with the Page of Swords (Earth of Air).

Acceptance

While I do recommend taking the actual essence if you suffer from persistent negative thoughts, you can also counteract them by working on your own acceptance levels. As you may know, what we resist persists… So take a minute to ask yourself, “What do I resist? What do I need to accept?”

After acceptance, you can readily follow with compassion, forgiveness and love. This then makes way for the hope of things being different in the future. But it always has to start with acceptance.

Red Chestnut and Tapping (EFT)

EFT aka tapping is an excellent therapy for the negative state of Red Chestnut. It allows you to quickly clear and release any negative thoughts. I recently tried a new version of the classical EFT called Faster EFT. A round takes less than a minute and I find it worked just as well. You can learn how to tap a round of Faster EFT HERE.
