Neptune enters Aries today, the day after the New Moon Solar Eclipse. This new Aries transit lasts until February 2039 (I’ll be nearly 70 by then!). While outer planets do not always heavily impact individuals, the main thing that I intuit when I meditate on the influence of Neptune in Aries on the collective is the opportunity to refine self-expression. This is because Aries represents the self and the individual.

Watery Neptune is represented by The Hanged Man (Archangel Asariel) in the Tarot. On the Kabbalistic Tree of Life, this card signifies the Path between Geburah (Severity) and Hod (Splendour). The title of this card is The Spirit of the Mighty Waters. It has the power to soften the ego edges of Aries.
The authoritative and rational Emperor (Archangel Sariel) represents Aries (Cardinal Fire) in the Tarot. His esoteric title is Sun/Son of the Morning, Chief Among the Mighty. His path on The Tree of Life runs from Chokmah (Mercy) to Tipheret (Beauty).
There is a sense of the sometimes overly rational approach of the Emperor being imbued with a more intuitive approach, or with more heart if you will. Neptune is considered the higher octave of Venus, after all. All in all, the combination of Neptune (Water) and Aries (Fire) spells alchemy of the highest order for those who embrace this opportunity.
Neptune in Aries Tarot Meditation
To tune into the meaning of this transit for yourself, try placing the two cards next to each other. Feel the energies in your body and contemplate how you normally embody these energies. The think about what your ideal embodiment looks like. Journal your findings.
Air Sextiles for Higher Mind Development
When Uranus enters Gemini later this year, you might find it easier to “quantum leap” into that ideal version of yourself. Uranus in Gemini and Pluto in Aquarius will form powerful, supportive sextiles to Neptune in 0 degrees of Aries. But as always with sextiles, we only benefit from them if we do the work. Simply dreaming (Hanged Man) is not enough; we must roll up our sleeves (Emperor) and the latter will start to feel the increasingly more appealing option.
Three ingredients are needed to facilitate the process alchemy: salt, sulphur and mercury. The Hanged Man brings the salt of the Waters. In the Aries Emperor we have the alchemical ingredient of Sulphur. The mercurial Element comes in via the two Air signs and especially Uranus in Gemini.
