A Mary Magdalene Rosary

mary magdalene rosary

Today, I would like to introduce you to the Magdalene Rosary, inspired by the teachings in Gospel of the Beloved Companion. This rosary consists of seven mysteries that will help you memorise the core teachings in the Gospel of Mary Magdalene. You don’t necessarily need a specialised 7 mysteries rosary; a regular rosary or a simple 10-bead chaplet can serve the same purpose beautifully.

This Rosary is suitable for anyone on a Magdalene Rose Priestess Path.

I borrowed some inspiration from this Rosary of St Mary Magdalene prayer page but felt guided to create my own. There is power in using already existing prayers if they resonate. If not, we are free to create our own. There is a lot of power in trusting our inner guidance on this too.

Feel free to adapt any part of this Rosary to suit your own Path and needs!

Opening Statement Before Saying the Magdalene Rosary

Mary Magdalene said, “What is hidden from you, I will proclaim.”

Blessing on the Crucifix (or Ankh or Goddess Pendant)

  • Touching your forehead: In the name of the Father
  • Touching your lips: In the name of the Mother
  • Touching the chest over your heart chakra: In the name of the Divine Child

Glory Be

Glory be to the Good, Mother-Father God and the Divine Child!

Prayer on the 3 Beads

Hail Mary, full of grace; the Spirit is with you. Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Yeshua. Holy Mary, Mother of the Divine Child, pray for us now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Prayer of Heaven on the Large Beads (Our Father)

This prayer is Lars Muhl’s version based on a faithful translation of the Aramaic original of the Lord’s Prayer:

Heavenly One
You who are everywhere
Hallowed be Your Name
Your Kingdom Come
here and now for all eternity.
Fill us with the Power of Your Grace
and free us from those fetters
with which we bind ourselves and each other.
Lead us out of temptation
and free us from ourselves
so we can be closer to You.
Teach us the true power of forgiveness
And may this holy moment be the ground
from which our future actions grow
Amen

It is optional to repeat this prayer after each decade.

On the Medal

The roots of the Tree are in the Earth which is my body. The trunk extends through the five regions of humanity. And the crown is the Kingdom of the Spirit.

Contemplating the Mysteries of the Magdalene Rosary

The mysteries are short so that you can enter into the silence for a while after saying each one, either out loud or in your mind. You can also use the silent pause to pull a rune or a Tarot/oracle card for information about any challenge you currently face with regard to that mystery.

If you’re pressed for time, consider indulging in a single mystery. There’s no obligation to tackle all seven in one sitting. You could even dedicate each day to unravelling one mystery, rotating them on a weekly basis. What matters most is that you embrace the silence and open your mind to listen. This is a dialogue, a moment for you to make room for the guidance of the Spirit.

The First Mystery

I free myself of all wrath and judgment. I feel my soul ascend to taste the fruit of love and compassion.

Prayer on the 10 Beads

Yeshua (feel free to use your own preferred name for the Divine) loves me beyond all measure. I drink from the stream of Living Water and I shall never thirst.
Amen.

You can shorten this prayer to ‘Yeshua loves me’ or simply ‘Yeshua‘ if you prefer.

Glory Be

Glory be to the Good, Mother-Father God and the Divine Child!

Repeat the Prayer of Heaven (optional).

The Second Mystery

I free myself of all ignorance and intolerance and taste the fruit of wisdom.

Pray the 10 beads and the Glory Be.

Repeat the Prayer of Heaven (optional).

The Third Mystery

The Fourth Mystery

The Fifth Mystery
