Omael shares the 7 of Wands with Reiyel, but reveals a different dimension of Mars in Leo. Where Reiyel showed us the courage to liberate ourselves from what keeps us bound, Omael teaches us the perseverance required to protect and nurture what we want to grow.

The 7 of Wands corresponds with Mars in Leo, combining determination and staying power with Leo’s creative fire. The Golden Dawn title for the card is Lord of Valour, and this is valour expressed not only in dramatic acts of courage but in the willingness to keep going when something matters.

This fits beautifully with Omael’s traditional association with multiplication. Growth requires sustained effort. I’m using the Sephardic Kabbalah Tarot de Marseille system taught by Michel Perez Rizzi in The 72 Names of God. Rizzi associates this Divine Name with building bridges: restoring our connection with the Light and healing the relationships that have become divided or broken.

Ayin — I The Magician

The Magician brings us back to the beginning, where we become conscious of our ability to create a different way forward. In Rizzi’s interpretation, this begins with restoring our connection to the Divine Light rather than trying to change circumstances through willpower alone.

The Magician invites us to become aware of where that connection has weakened. Once we reconnect with the Divine Source of life, we are better able to recognise what needs healing and take the first practical steps towards rebuilding it.

Vav — VI The Lover

The Lover brings the work directly into the realm of human relationships. Our connection with the Divine cannot be separated entirely from the way we relate to one another. Broken relationships, unresolved disagreements and emotional distance can all become places where a bridge needs to be rebuilt.
