Hi, I’m Lisa — a metaphysical writer, tarot practitioner, and mystic based in the UK since 2002. If you found your way here, you’re probably less interested in being told what to think and more interested in learning how to see. The work I share here is rooted in tools and practices designed to sharpen that way of seeing.
My Path into Tarot and Symbolic Practice
I grew up in Stockholm, Sweden, in the 1970s. My Sámi grandmother was a natural seer who would intuitively put the kettle on just before the arrival of unexpected visitors. At 15, I did my first Tarot reading for a friend with a cardboard cutout deck from a magazine. What I saw in the cards helped her find words for what she’d been carrying. That day taught me the heart of this work: truth, courage, compassion.
In my late teens, my path detoured through Evangelical Christianity. I still love Yeshua, but fearmongering dogma and I are not a match. Leaving the church around the time of my first Saturn return was only the start. Deconstruction is an ongoing journey, and I’m slowly learning to give labels a wide berth.
How I Work with Tarot, Runes, and Angels
Now my practice is simple: the Tarot is my main tool for navigating the three realms. I also work with the runes for manifesting and soul alchemy. The angels are my constant companions, and the dragons pop in when they feel so inclined. Over the years, this work has been shared through teaching, writing, and public speaking, including as a speaker at the UK Tarot Conference.
Angelorum is where I share my ongoing work with Tarot, angels, and symbolic traditions — through study, practice, and reflection over time. Alongside this, I offer Tarot readings grounded in the same lived relationship with the symbols. It’s an open invitation to engage the symbols and archetypes, allowing guidance and clarity to emerge through relationship with them.
