Three of Wands

3 of Wands

“It’s not because things are difficult that we dare not venture. It’s because we dare not venture that they are difficult.”
~ Seneca

The Three of Wands is about actively manifesting that which we are most passionate about at the stage when we cannot yet discern the final outcome. Seeds have been planted and the ships have been sent out… Some of them may even be returning to harbour but much remains to be done. The best way to achieve success right now is to stand fast in your vision but to not exclude others from taking active part.

I often think of this card as the networking card because our best networking efforts are made when we connect over something that both parties are passionate about and when complementary parts of a unified vision come together like pieces of a jigsaw. The pitfall is pride and willfulness. The remedy is a sense of playfulness and a trust that things will come together beautifully

Affirmation: “I get out of my own way and feel my connectedness to others in the process of giving birth to something new and unique.”

Three of Wands Prayer

Dear Mother-Father God (or whichever higher power you acknowledge), thank you for inspiring this process of manifestation. Help me to recognise the people who are placed on my path by divine order so that all who have been touched by the same Spirit may join together for the glory and highest good of All. So mote it be!

The 3 of Wands in Love and Relationships

In love, the 3 of Wands stands for a dynamic relationship where both parties are free to express themselves. There is mutual respect and a lot of outward directed energy and creativity with this dynamic duo.

You are encouraged to speak your mind and share yourself with the other freely. If you’re thinking of asking someone out, this is a green light as you’re likely to have a really fun time together.

For a single person, this card indicates that getting yourself out there and networking could lead to developments in your personal life (depending on surrounding cards).

Reversed or ill-dignified, the 3 of Wands could be an indication of lack of mutual respect and support. It could mean it’s time to move on.

On an intimate level, this is a wonderful card for fun and frolics – no room for kink or getting too experimental.
