Happy Friday, Angelorum fam! We have Beltane coming up next week. The symbols in the image above all relate to Beltane. The fire for Pile A is a Beltane Fire, the apple for Pile B is a symbol of the Goddess of Love, and the faery for Pile C is a symbol of the veil being thinner at this station of the Wheel of the Year. According to ancient lore, connecting with the faery realm is easier around Beltane than during any other time of the year.
We are working with the Gilded Tarot Royale for these pick-a-pile Tarot readings.
These pick-a-card Tarot readings are for whenever you happen to come across them. They will bring you the message you need to hear right now on your life journey. However, as always with general readings, only take that which resonates.

Beltane Traditions and Symbology
Beltane is celebrated on the 30th of April or the 1st of May, depending on which culture you find yourself in. In my native Sweden, this celebration is known as Valborg or Valborgsmässoafton and the date is the 30th of April. Beltane marks one of the major sabbats in the Wheel of the Year in many Pagan traditions, heralding the beginning of summer and the peak of fertility.
Central to Beltane traditions are symbols of prosperity, fertility, and renewal. Rituals often include the Maypole dance, where ribbons are intertwined around a pole, representing the union of the masculine and the feminine. Bonfires, another potent symbol of Beltane, purify and protect, while also embodying the light and warmth of the coming months. The jumping over of the fire by couples is a traditional act thought to bring blessings and fertility.
Flowers and greenery are also prominent during Beltane. Celebrants weave plants into crowns symbolising the fertility of the earth now bursting into bloom. The use of flowers and the vibrant colours associated with Beltane are expressions of rejoicing in the Earth’s richness and abundance. They tend to feature heavily on Pagan altars this time of the year.
This is a time for initiating new projects and ideas, much like the earth puts forth new life. It’s a celebration deeply rooted in the pleasure and bounty of nature, highlighting sensuality in its many forms.
The #1 Tarot Card for Beltane
The symbols and traditions of Beltane resonate strongly with the Venusian Empress card in the Tarot. The Empress represents fertility, abundance, and natural growth. Like The Empress, Beltane is a celebration of thriving life and abundance. Both symbolise the nurturing of desire into physical manifestation, underscored by the lushness of the natural world in spring.

This card indicates that you are standing on the threshold of a potentially prosperous and abundant phase. The seeds you plant now, be they new projects, investments, or connections, have the potential to grow into something tangible and rewarding. It’s a time to ground your actions in reality and to move forward with practicality.
2. The Growth – Development and Expansion: King of Pentacles
Following the promising inception seen with the Ace of Pentacles, the King of Pentacles suggests mastery concerning material and financial circumstances. This card reflects a time when you embody the qualities of the King. This entails abundance, security, and wise governance over your assets. Your efforts toward building a stable foundation enable you to harness resources efficiently. This phase of expansion is marked by practicality, steadiness, and a continued focus on goals that build your security.
3. The Bloom – Fruition and Outcome: 4 of Cups
As we look at the outcome with the 4 of Cups, there’s a distinct energy shift. This card may signal a sense of disillusionment or apathy despite achievements or improvements in your material circumstances. It suggests that though you will have harvested the fruits of your labour, there might be a feeling of wanting something different or more fulfilling. It’s a reminder to connect with your inner desires and not to become complacent or disconnected from what truly brings you emotional satisfaction.
This series of cards from the Ace to the King and finally to the 4 of Cups hints at a journey from opportunity and mastery to a need for emotional and spiritual reevaluation. As you progress, remember to balance material success with emotional and spiritual well-being to truly find fulfilment. Trust in the authority of your heart.
Reflect on what you truly desire and ensure that your path aligns with those inner truths as you move forward.
B. Apple
1. The Seed – Current Foundations: 9 of Wands
The 9 of Wands portrays resilience amidst challenges. As your foundation card, it indicates that you’ve been guarding your energy. This helped you prepare for facing any forthcoming challenges with a survival mindset. The 9 of Wands suggests that you possess the stamina and determination necessary to endure and protect what you’ve already built. The experience gained from past struggles forms a sturdy base for your next steps.
2. The Growth – Development and Expansion: 8 of Pentacles
Progressing from the defensive energy of the 9 of Wands, the 8 of Pentacles symbolises a period of diligent work and attention to detail. This card reflects a time for honing your skills and applying yourself fully to achieve mastery in your pursuits. Your dedication to improvement and the meticulous cultivation of your craft or career will lead to noticeable growth and development. It’s a phase where effort and persistence in refining your abilities could lead to recognition.
3. The Bloom – Fruition and Outcome: 3 of Wands
The culmination of your journey is represented by the 3 of Wands. This card signals the expansion of horizons and forward-looking attitudes. After a phase of intense personal development and proficiency (8 of Pentacles), the 3 of Wands indicates that you are poised to reap the rewards. Expect opportunities for adventure, travel, or business expansion. This card heralds success from your well-laid plans and suggests that the endeavours you have been concentrating on are ready to push into new, prosperous territories.
This succession from the 9 of Wands through the 8 of Pentacles to the 3 of Wands depicts a transformative journey from resilience against challenges to dedicated workmanship, and finally, to achieving a broadened perspective and new opportunities. Keep focusing on your goals, expand your outlook, and embrace the expansive opportunities that await.
C. Faery Queen
1. The Seed – Current Foundations: Temperance
The Temperance card as the foundation suggests a period of finding balance and harmony. It implies that the groundwork of your current path involves healing through integrating opposites. This could relate to balancing your personal and professional life, your emotions with your intellect, or your material desires with your spiritual needs. Temperance is about healing and moderation, preparing you for sustainable growth by promoting equilibrium and soul alchemy in your life.
2. The Growth – Development and Expansion: 4 of Pentacles
Moving into development, the 4 of Pentacles underscores a phase of consolidation and perhaps cautiousness in managing your resources. This card often indicates a focus on security, stability, and maintaining control over your assets. It reflects a protective attitude toward your finances or personal boundaries. While it is essential to secure what you’ve worked hard for, this card also warns against becoming too rigid or resistant to change. This energy is in stark contrast with the visionary Sagittarian energy of the Temperance card. Find the middle way. Strive for a solid foundation but don’t close yourself off to new opportunities.
3. The Bloom – Fruition and Outcome: Death
The Death card in the position of outcome marks a significant transformation. It suggests that the period of stability and careful management with the 4 of Pentacles can lead to a profound change. This change might involve letting go of outmoded ways of being or possessions that no longer serve your highest good. Death signifies an end that makes way for a new beginning, a necessary clearing to welcome the new phases of your life. This card indicates rejuvenation through release, embracing the inevitable transitions that life presents.
This sequence of Temperance, the 4 of Pentacles, and Death paints a journey from balance and healing through creating a solid foundation to a pivotal transformation that will shift your life’s trajectory. Embrace these phases, knowing each step is essential for your evolution and eventual renewal.
