It’s been said that bad times make hard men and hard men make good times; Good times make soft men and soft men make bad times.
I don’t know about you but I believe this to be true. I also believe that if we are willing to sweat in times of peace, we’ll be harder to kill in times of war.
When I came across the 75 Hard challenge on Instagram, it happened at just the right time for me. I had been on the lookout for something to help me be accountable and for making progress in the key areas of my life. Much of the good work I had done in 2019 with a ketogenic diet and fasting was undone in 2020. I know I’m not alone in this. Many of us are stuck with unwanted lockdown pounds and some not-so-healthy habits.
Of course, as always, blaming any regression or lack of progress on external circumstances isn’t useful. What we need to do now is get back on that wagon and start moving forward again, right?
What Is 75 Hard?
75 Hard is more than a theory. It’s an action-packed 75-day program that has literally changed thousands of lives. All you have to do is search for the hashtag #75hard on Instagram and TikTok and you will see this is true.
The 7 rules of 75 Hard are:
- 2 Workouts every single day (no rest days)
- 1 of the 2 workouts has to be outdoors
- Drink one gallon of water (you actually need it with two daily workouts)
- Read 10 pages from a non-fiction, educational book
- Follow a diet (can be a diet of your own choosing but has to be healthy)
- No cheat meals and no alcohol
- Take a daily progress pic
What 75 Hard Isn’t
75 Hard is not a physical fitness program. It’s a mental toughness program to help you build momentum for advancing in all areas of life. Movement builds momentum. It’s a program designed to help you DESTROY all your excuses. I hate excuses so I instantly fell in love with this program.
