Rose Priestess Awakenings: How to Know This Is Your Path

rose priestess sisterhood

In 2022, in the wake of healing from religious trauma, I found myself on the precipice of a spiritual awakening unlike any I had known before. The call to step onto the Magdalene Rose Priestess path emerged in a quiet yet undeniable way—a deep knowing rising from within. As I explored the sacred teachings of Mary Magdalene, something within me stirred. There was recognition, remembrance, and an unshakable feeling that this was not new to me, but rather, a path I had once walked before. There was an equally strong and undeniable resonance with and deep remembrance of the mysteries of Egypt and Atlantis.

I decided to trust this deep inner knowing even though I couldn’t find a mentor I could afford and had yet to find my circle of sister priestesses. As I neared my self-initiation as a Magdalene Rose Priestess, I longed for confirmation from the Goddess herself. I asked for a sign—something tangible to affirm that this was truly my calling. The very next day, I stepped into my garden and found a pink silk rose (image of the flower) lying on the ground. It may have made its way across the wall from the graveyard next door, yet in all the time I had lived there, nothing like this had ever happened before. This was the only time a silk flower had appeared in my garden in such a way. I knew without a doubt that my request had been answered. This was my path.

The Calling of the Rose Priestess

For those who resonate with the Rose Priestess path, the awakening is rarely sudden or simple. It often unfolds slowly, painfully even, across lifetimes. Those who carry this calling tend to be highly sensitive souls, deeply attuned to love, beauty, and the mysteries of the divine feminine. Yet, we have also been conditioned to doubt ourselves, our inner knowing, and our worth in harsh, left-brain-dominated 3D reality.

Signs That You Have a Rose Priestess Calling

The journey to reclaiming one’s place in the lineage of the Rose is one of deep healing, remembrance, and surrender. Here are some common signs that you may have incarnated with this calling:

  • A deep connection to Mary Magdalene, Isis, Mother Mary, or other Rose Lineage Code Keepers
  • Recurring dreams or past-life memories of temple work, priestesshood, or sacred ceremonies
  • An inexplicable draw to roses and their symbolism
  • A longing to heal the wounds of the divine feminine, both personal and collective
  • Heightened sensitivity to energy and emotions
  • A feeling of being ‘in the world but not of it’
  • A desire to live in devotion, beauty, and sacred service
  • The call to awaken others to divine love

Astrological & Numerological Markers of the Rose Priestess

While not always present, certain placements in an astrological chart can indicate a soul’s connection to this path. These may include:

  • Venus in a prominent position (1st, 10th, or conjunct the Ascendant)
  • Venus as the chart ruler
  • Moon in Pisces, Cancer, or Scorpio (strong intuitive and emotional depth)
  • Strong 12th house placements (past life spiritual mastery, hidden wisdom)
  • North Node in Taurus or Libra (destined to walk the path of beauty and harmony)

Numerologically, those walking the Rose path often have Life Path or Destiny Numbers 6 (nurturer, healer), 9 (universal love), 11 (spiritual teacher), or 33 (master healer and teacher). The number 5 (the pentagram/rose of Venus) also holds special significance.

Many Faces of the Rose Priestess

Not every Rose Priestess is called to the same expression of this path. Some feel drawn to womb healing and sacred sexuality, while others focus on working with the Earth, grid work, cosmic transmissions, community work or the inner alchemical wedding. There is no one-size-fits-all role, and not every avatar or goddess will resonate with each priestess. The key is to trust your unique soul’s remembrance and carve out the path that feels most aligned for you.

Some of the avatars and goddesses connected to the Rose Priestess path include:

  • Mary Magdalene – the embodiment of Holy Sophia
  • Mother Mary (Rosa Mystica) – the nurturing force of unconditional love
  • Isis – the Egyptian high priestess and master of alchemy
  • Aphrodite/Venus – the goddess of love and sacred sensuality
  • Sophia – the goddess of wisdom and the soul’s journey home
  • Astarte – the ancient goddess of fertility, love, and war
  • Ishtar – the Babylonian goddess of love, beauty, and transformation
  • Inanna – the Sumerian Queen of Heaven and the underworld initiator
  • Lilith – the fierce, independent goddess of feminine power and sovereignty
  • Hathor – the Egyptian goddess of joy, music, and maternal love
  • Sara La Kali – the Black Madonna of the Romani people
  • Brigid – the Celtic goddess of healing, poetry, and sacred fire

Finding Your Rose Sisters & Building a Sacred Sisterhood

For many on this path, one of the greatest struggles is finding kindred spirits. This is certainly true in my own life. The world is shifting rapidly as we cross the threshold of the Age of Aquarius, and many find themselves feeling increasingly isolated due to the technological shadow of Aquarian energy. However, real-life sisterhood and community building are vital aspects of the Rose Priestess journey.

How to begin calling in your soul family:

  1. Set the intention. Speak aloud or write down your desire to find kindred spirits.
  2. Pray for divine guidance. Ask to be led to the right people, places, and opportunities.
  3. Engage in online communities. Many priestesses are finding each other through social media platforms. Support and collaborate with every single one that you have resonance with!
  4. Create your own gathering. If you cannot find an existing group, consider starting a women’s circle. This can be daunting, especially if you still carry the witch wound so be kind to yourself and keep self-validating. Work with your online community for support.
  5. Attend retreats or workshops. Look for in-person opportunities to connect with like-minded souls.

Walking the Path in Sacred Service

The Rose Priestess path is not about self-aggrandisement or accumulating certifications. You do not need to pay thousands of pounds or dollars to be “ordained.” This is a path of remembering, not acquiring. The true initiation happens within, through devotion, service, and surrender to divine love.

Ask yourself daily: How can I serve? Let this question guide your steps, and trust that the way will be revealed.

Final Thoughts

The path of the Rose Priestess is one of deep devotion, remembrance, and love. I’m still in the process of remembering and I don’t think anybody is fully there yet due to the vibration in 3D keeping the veil firmly in place. It is possible that those charging thousands of pounds for Rose Priestess training and certification are not fully there yet either. But the veil of forgetting is slowly lifted as human consciousness expands and whether you are just awakening to this calling or have been walking it for lifetimes, know that you are not alone. The Rosa Mystica is calling, the sisters are gathering, and the time is now to help each other remember!
