The fiery Sagittarius New Moon is the final New Moon before the Yule/Christmas holidays. The Dark Moon days between now and the New Moon on Saturday (PST) or Sunday (GMT) is a great time to do a year review. Taking time to reflect on the past 11-12 months is the best way to assimilate the lessons of the past year and release anything we wish to leave behind in the old year.

General Information about the New Moon in Sagittarius
The main quality we want to harness during the Sagittarius New Moon is optimism. The ruler of Sagittarius is Jupiter, aka the ‘Greater Benefic.’ A Jupiterian New Moon is extremely auspicious for expanding in the direction of our goals and desires. The best way to make sure that the Higher Powers will add oomph to our process of co-creation is – as always – to make sure that what we wish for is in alignment with the Highest Good for All.
Pursuits favoured by a Sagittarius New Moon are higher learning, philosophy, religion, entertainment, teaching, travel, publishing and legal issues. Now is a good time to think about any courses you want to take in the new year, which publisher to send your book proposal to and where/what/how you would like to teach. It’s also a great time of year to plan next year’s holiday – especially if it involves travel to far-flung places.

I really like your journaling prompts. Some hardcore self-evaluation here, but definitely worth it. Thank you.
So glad you enjoyed them!
I wanted to share part of my reading.
I use the Prisma Visions Tarot deck by James Eads. Card 1: Which area to focus on with boundless optimism? Temperance (14) I did my reading today on the 14th of December at the 14th hour of the day. Card 5: What lesson this new focus will bring? The World (21) while this seems not to fit, this specific card, The World card in this specific deck depicts The Moon, The Sun, The Hanged Man, The Hierophant, The Emperor, Justice, Strength, and The Chariot rotating around the calm, focused center of the eye. Add those 8 Major Arcana depicted with the 4 from my reading it gives me 12. The inverse of the World and the month we are in.
For me this was a powerful reminder of where my energy needs to be directed. Thank you for sharing and I look forward to moving into 2018 with a renewed sense of purpose.
