The Mystical Flower of Life Dream (with Tarot Spread)

flower of life dream mystical journey to the self

Last night, I had one of those dreams—the kind that feels less like a dream and more like being gently scooped out of time and dropped into the infinite. I found myself standing in the centre of what resembled the Flower of Life pattern, but multi-dimensional—alive, pulsating—a grid of radiant light in a sea of cosmic stillness.

Go to:

At the heart of it all was a Presence.

It didn’t speak with words, but with knowing. I asked, “What lies beyond this?”

In response, the Presence showed me: wave upon wave of creation, rippling outward from the centre like soundwaves of sacred geometry. But then I realised the answer wasn’t something. It was nothing.

And in that instant, I knew I was not separate from this Being, nor the angelic realm.

My mind felt like it might shatter from the magnitude of that understanding. And yet… I woke up feeling expanded, at peace, and completely safe. Home.

Mystical Echoes

This dream wasn’t random. The day before, I had meditated on embodying Archangel Gabriel ‘God Is My Strength.’ So it felt like a direct initiation into the kind of truth mystics across traditions have spoken of for millennia. As Rumi wrote:

“You are not a drop in the ocean. You are the entire ocean in a drop.”

Or, as Meister Eckhart said in the 13th century:

“The eye with which I see God is the same eye with which God sees me.”

This is the paradox of nonduality. We are both wave and ocean, created and creator, seeker and the sought. And sometimes, whether in dreams or meditation or through spontaneous grace, the veil thins just enough for us to remember.

What Lies Beyond the Grid?

In mystical traditions—from Kabbalah to Taoism to Advaita Vedanta—the centre is the point of origin and the eternal Now. It is the place where creation arises from the Unmanifest. The “nothing” I encountered in the dream wasn’t void as in emptiness, but void as in limitless potential or the womb of creation.

“God is a circle whose centre is everywhere and circumference nowhere.” – Hermes Trismegistus

When we arrive at that centre, we realise there is no beyond, because there is no separation. We are the pattern, the pulse, the stillness, the wave.

Tarot Spread: Journey to the Centre of the Self

To help integrate this dream and invite others into their own experience of divine remembrance, I created a 5-card Tarot spread. This can be used after/as a meditation, or whenever you need to experience Source/the Great I AM Presence.

flower of life dream tarot spread - journey to the centre of self
  1. The Pattern – What energetic or karmic pattern am I currently working through?
  2. The Presence – What aspect of the Divine is calling me inward right now?
  3. The Pulsation – What frequency or vibration is ready to activate in me?
  4. The Centre – What truth awaits me when I release separation?
  5. The Integration – How can I live from this expanded awareness in daily life?

You might want to light a candle, breathe deeply, and visualise yourself entering the Flower of Life before you lay out your cards.

Journey to the Centre of Self: Sample Tarot Reading 1

For the second Tarot reading, I’m using the Mini Egyptian Tarot because it’s small enough and a good fit with my Flower of Life crystal grid board.

1. The Pattern – 7 of Wands

You’re in the midst of defending your truth, standing your ground against forces that challenge your inner knowing. This is the spiritual warrior card—saying “No” to distractions and “Yes” to the higher calling. This pattern shows up when you’re asserting your identity and protecting your sacred work.

2. The Presence – Page of Swords

The Divine currently reaches you through curiosity, study, and spiritual questioning. This Presence is whispering to you through ideas, symbols, and the fresh winds of epiphany. It’s the sacred student archetype—perhaps even a younger aspect of yourself returning to the centre to learn anew.

3. The Pulsation – 10 of Wands

You’re carrying a lot. This frequency speaks of burden and burnout—but also the culmination of a long soul journey. The time is ripe to put something down so you can rise. The rhythm wants to shift from “carrying” to channelling.

4. The Centre – Ace of Swords

At the centre lies clarity. A divine download. Your Higher Self is handing you Excalibur—a truth that slices through illusion. This card is a holy YES from the universe to trust the flashes of knowing that come in silence and stillness.

5. The Integration – The Magician

You’re ready to embody what you know. The tools are in your hands. The Magician is the bridge between Heaven and Earth, and you’re being called to live from that Centre—not as a concept, but as your practice. Your voice, your presence, your ritual—it’s all magic now.

Journey to the Centre of Self: Sample Tarot Reading 2

For the second sample reading, I chose to read with the deck that visually represents my dream the best, the Quantum Tarot v. 2 by Christ Butler.

1. The Pattern – Strength

This pattern reveals a journey of inner alchemy—taming fear with love, meeting adversity with compassion, and learning to trust in your own inner resilience. Strength is not about control but about presence. The pattern signifies heart-led sovereignty, where power is expressed through gentleness.

2. The Presence – King of Cups

The Divine is showing up as calm, wise emotional intelligence. This Presence invites you to hold space—for yourself and others—without becoming overwhelmed. It is a steadying, healing force that teaches through empathy and depth rather than intensity. It may also signal support from a spiritual teacher or guide who leads with emotional mastery.

3. The Pulsation – Ace of Swords

The energetic vibration is one of clarity and discernment. A truth is pulsing into awareness—perhaps subtle at first, but unmistakable in its presence. This wave clears confusion and allows you to see from a higher perspective. The insight is emerging not just from the mind but from deep emotional stillness.

4. The Centre – Justice

At the core of your being is balance and alignment. The Centre here reveals the universal law of cause and effect, and your deep soul understanding of fairness, truth, and right action. This is a moment of reckoning in the best sense—a karmic recalibration that brings you back into harmony with your life path.

5. The Integration – Page of Cups

To embody this revelation, you are asked to return to a state of openness and creative receptivity. This is the energy of the mystic dreamer, the spiritual child who listens with the heart. Integration here comes through imagination, intuitive play, and the gentle unfolding of emotional truths. Stay soft. Remain curious. Stay in dialogue with the sacred.

Final Thoughts

This dream reminded me that awakening doesn’t always come in blazing bolts, Kundalini awakenings or Dark Nights of the Soul. Sometimes it comes softly, wrapped in petals of light and silence, bearing a single truth:

You are already home.

If this resonates with something deep within you, I invite you to try the spread and share your reflections in the comments. And if you’ve had similar dreams or mystical moments—tell me about them. We’re all walking each other back to the Centre.
