Today (Monday, 4 March) and tomorrow (Tuesday, 5 March), the Moon is in it’s balsamic phase, which means that we have an opportunity to review what is going on. This is not a good time to start something new. It’s a time for reflection and distillation. We now decide what to bring forward and what to leave behind for Wednesday’s New Moon in Pisces
The day before the New Moon in Pisces, Mercury goes retrograde in the final degree of Pisces. This may give us a sense of urgency (final degree of the final sign) and make us wonder if we have missed out on something. The best remedy is not to rush forward and take action but to go within and find clarity through meditation.
On the day of the New Moon, the Moon is sextile Mars in Taurus and Saturn in Capricorn. This earthy stability is a great counter lever to both the dreamy and illusory qualities of the Piscean energy, and to Uranus moving forward again in Taurus, which is the other big celestial event of the day. Uranus is know to bring an erratic energy (expect the unexpected!) but forewarned is forearmed.
As for which area is being most affected by Uranus, with Uranus in Taurus, it is what we value most deeply. Uranus in Taurus and Moon in Pisces is a great time to redirect our energy into pursuits that are truly worthy of our time and energy but we may be better off waiting until Sunday, when the Moon enters Taurus, for moving forward with haste and/or a clear focus.
Because both Mars and Saturn bring an energy of stability and practicality to the New Moon in Pisces, this is a great to focus on establishing a routine in our lives that brings in more of the spiritual and creative energy of Pisces.
This could be something like getting up 30 minutes earlier than usual on a morning to meditate and do yoga, do dance improvisation, spend some time painting, practise divination or to create a haiku a day. As long as you take action on what inspires you right now, you can’t go wrong. You are meant to bring this into the world; It is by expressing yourself creatively that you most effectively embody your Higher Self.

I have been a seeker and I still am, but I stopped asking the books and the stars. I started listening to the teaching of my Soul.Rumi
That this is the most spiritual lunation of the year has not escaped the Secret Language of Color Cards. Lilac and Pearl bring a message about the importance of going within now and doing all we can to strengthen our connection to the Divine. Pencil some time into your schedule for a New Moon meditation!
Reading all five cards together, the three cards from the Vice Versa Tarot speak of new beginnings with the 2019 New Moon in Pisces. The influx of new ideas will be due to a combination of Uranus re-entering Taurus and using the Mercury Rx energy to go within for intuitive downloads.
When the Ace of Swords shows up, it’s always a good idea to keep a recording device handy. You don’t want to forget the brilliant ideas that come to you now. Instead, the 3 of Wands suggest acting on them and also finding the right people to collaborate with for this purpose. You’ll probably find that the more connected you are to Source vertically, the more the right people will cross your path horizontally.
The Queen of Pentacles is a nod to the Mars-Saturn energy for this lunation and makes us aware of the need to stay grounded, as well as to come up with practical solutions. Setting achievable goals and coming up with an action plan is the right thing to do now.
If we follow this advice, we can break new ground when it comes to managing our lives in such a way that we significantly increase the quality of life, not just for ourselves, but for everyone in our care. This process of transformation is all about aligning more closely with our deepest spiritual values… and to quote Freddie in the film ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’:
“Good thoughts, good words, good deeds…”
