“It is easy to tell the toiler
How best he can carry his pack
But no one can rate a burden’s weight
Until it has been on his back”
~ Ella Wheeler Wilcox
When was the last time you asked for help or said a prayer?
The 10 of Wands typically shows up when we feel that we are at the end of our tether. Responsibilites have (sometimes imperceptibly) been piled on top of responsibilities until we reach breaking point. Sometimes this card shows up toward the end of a creative project which may have felt enjoyable to start with but now feels only like a chore and all the inspiration has gone out it.
The lesson then that comes with this card is often about learning to ask for help. Being a proud control freak who hates to feel like she is imposing herself on anyone, I know how hard this can be. The trick is to learn to not think of asking for help as impositioning the other person but as offering them the gift of the opportunity to be of service.
It is equally blessed to receive as to give – perhaps not for our personal pride (which really needs no extra encouragement), but for the highest good of All.
“God gave us crying so other folks could see when we needed help, and help us.”
~ Joshilyn Jackson
Affirmation: “I do my best and am not afraid to ask for help.”

Dear Mother-Father God (or whichever higher power you acknowledge), thank you that all those who are weary can lay down their burdens at your feet. Remind us often that we are not alone. So mote it be! (Listen to prayer on Instagram)
