Shem Angel 63 Anauel is the Shem HaMemphorash whose name means ‘The Gentle God’ or ‘God That is Infinitely Good.’ The name sounds like Ah-Noo-Wah. The corresponding Angelic Choir is Archangels (Hod), under the rulership of Archangel Raphael. The Planetary correspondence is Mercury. Anauel has masculine energy and is the Angel of Unity. The corresponding gemstone is Sapphire. The Element is Air and the main colours associated with this angel are orange or green.

Anauel is the Guardian Angel of those born 31 January – 4 February.

He rules the time between 8:49 – 9:00 PM.

31 January – 4 February is the first five days of the second decan of Aquarius. The corresponding Tarot card is the 6 of Swords (Mercury in Aquarius). Mehiel rules the final five days of the second decan of Aquarius.

Anauel’s secondary rulership covers 11 March, 24 May, 7 August, 20 October, and 30 December.

At birth, we are each given three Guardian Angels. The following explains the roles of your three Shem Angels: Primary rulership determines the physical and external material aspects of the person born within that date range. Secondary rulership determines the emotional characteristics and challenges a person may face. Finally, the time of day determines the person’s intellectual capability.

Anauel and the 6 of Swords

The enigmatic 6 of Swords pairs beautifully with the angel Anauel. We see a woman and child huddled together in a small boat. The story in Tarot Circles goes that they are leaving troubled times behind and moving to a brighter tomorrow. The Astrological correspondence is Mercury in Aquarius. But who are they (we only see them from behind) and who is the man helping them across to that brighter future? What sort of troubles are they leaving behind?

With Anauel acting as their guide, moving them gently forward to calmer waters and a more welcoming shore, they could be leaving poverty behind. Anauel can help us better understand how to deal with finances. But he also helps us feel a part of something. So if we are struggling with feelings of isolation and exclusion, he could come to the rescue and help us find a group of people who will make us feel welcome and valuable.

Looking at this card from a psychospiritual development point of view, I feel it could show an individual (the mother) guiding her inner child to feel safe. This inner child could still be recovering from childhood trauma. The man steering the boat could be an angel, a spirit guide or the higher self.

Like the 6 of Swords, Anauel can help us embrace new ideas, structure, organisation and logic. All of these qualities are important to learn for someone who has been raised in a chaotic home

Out of clutter, find simplicity. From discord, find harmony. In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity.
~Albert Einstein
