Archangelic Flower Correspondences

It’s Angel Mystic Monday and we’re in the Season of Summer (Happy Lion’s Gate 8/8, btw!). Flowers are found everywhere right now in the Northern Hemisphere. So today I thought we would take a look at some Archangelic Flower Correspondences for the Angels of the Days of the Week. We will also look at a few different ways of using flowers to connect with the angelic realm.

Archangel Gabriel

Archangel Gabriel rules the Moon and Mondays. Some of the flowers you can use to connect with Archangel Gabriel are Chamomile, Evening Primrose, Honesty (Lunaria Annua), Jasmine, Lily (white), Mallow, Passion and Poppy. Also most white flowers, especially night-flowering ones.

Archangel Camael

Archangel Camael (aka Chamuel) rules Mars and Tuesdays. Some of the flowers that can help you connect with Archangel Camael are Gentian, Gorse, Hawthorn, High John the Conqueror, Pennyroyal, Common Rue, Snapdragon and Thistle. Also many other red, dark orange and magenta-coloured flowers and any prickly plants. Don’t be afraid to use your intuition!

Archangel Raphael

Archangel Raphael rules Mercury and Wednesdays. Flowers that correspond with this Master Healer among the Archangels are Caraway, Clary Sage, Clover, Elecampane, Lavender, Lily of the Valley, Pimpernel and Summer Savory. Also, many of the umbels and flowers with an intense but brief burst of aroma.

Archangel Sachiel

Archangel Sachiel (aka Zadkiel) rules Jupiter and Thursdays. Some flowers that create a connection with this benevolent angel are Agrimony, Wood Avens, Borage, Cinquefoil (aka Potentilla), Dandelion (Yay, can be found almost everywhere!), Honeysuckle, Hyssop, Linden, Meadowsweet, Valerian and Wood Betony. Also, many other large flowers and herbs that increase the appetite.

Archangel Anael

Archangel Anael (aka Haniel) rules Venus and Fridays. Flowers that allow you to form a closer bond with this angel of love and beauty are Almond, Apple, Cherry, Cornflower, Cowslip, Crocus, Feverfew, Geranium, Goldenrod, Heather, Iris, Lady’s Mantle, Marshmallow, Myrtle, Pansy, Rose, Self-heal, Tansy and Violet. Also, many other sweet-smelling flowers and flowers that are used to attract love/increase fertility.

Archangel Cassiel

Archangel Cassiel rules Saturn and Saturdays. Some flowering plants that correspond with this stern angel are Aconite, Belladonna, Black Nightshade, Bluebell, Comfrey, Foxglove, Fumitory, Hellebore, Henbane, Lady’s slipper orchid, Mandrake (also Mercury), Mullein, Poison Hemlock and Scullcap. Also, many other plants that grow along borders and that thrive in the shade.

Archangel Michael

Archangel Michael rules the Sun and Sundays. Some corresponding flowers for this angelic patron of warriors are Angelica, Blueweed, Carnation, Celandine, Centaury, Eyebright, Goldenseal, Heliotrope, Hibiscus, Marigold, Orange blossoms, Peony, Rowan blossoms, Saffron, St. John’s Wort, Sunflower and Tagetes. Also, many other solar-shaped flowers, flowers that affect the sight and flowers with a citrusy scent.

How to Use Flowers to Connect with the Angelic Realm

In the list above, we looked at correspondences for some of the most well-known Archangels. However, you can also use flowers in a more non-specific way. Angels and flowers go hand in hand. Decorating your Angel Altar with flowers is an easy way to attract more angelic blessings into your life. You can also ask for a message from the angels in the form of the next flower you see. Interpret the message with the help of the angels, your intuition and/or by searching online.

However, you can use the suggested flowers above to create your own flower essence to connect with the Archangel of your choice. You would choose Gabriel for clear communication, getting your message out into the world or for working with children/conceiving. Camael is the angel you would work with for courage or vigour. Archangel Raphael is the angel to connect with for any healing work.

Connecting with Sachiel can bring in abundance, clarity about your purpose and new career opportunities. Anael is the angel of love and you would call their energy in for new romance/improved relationships/increased fertility (together with Gabriel). Cassiel can help you become more disciplined and enforce boundaries. Finally, Archangel Michael is the angel you would call on for general protection, relief from suffering, blessings and success.

How to Make an Angelic Flower Essence

Pick the flowers on a sunny day when they are in full bloom. The exception is flowers to connect with Archangel Gabriel. Pick flowers for an Archangel Gabriel essence at night. Place the petals in a glass bowl full of spring water and expose them to sunlight (or moonlight) for at least three hours or until you feel that the water has been saturated with the energy of your chosen flower.

Strain the water and fill half a spray/mist bottle with the flower essence and top it up with vodka or brandy (the alcohol acts as a preservative). Use the spray in your aura whenever you wish to connect with the angel you wish to work with. You can also use the spray to clear sacred space or cleanse and energise your angel altar.

NB: Do not ingest or handle any poisonous plants with your bare hands. Do not use toxic plants to make essences.
