7 Ways to Heal with the Element of Fire

healing with the element of fire

In Chinese Medicine, the Element of Fire is associated with the heart, small intestine and our feelings. Its fundamental feeling is joy, deep spiritual joy. And this is reflected in the fact that Fire is also associated with music in TCM. In the Western Esoteric tradition that is based on Vedic teachings, the Solar Plexus is the seat of the Fire Element in the body’s energy system.

We have just passed through the 2023 New Moon Solar Eclipse in Aries. This is an extremely powerful transit but it has been very heavy for some. So the Angels are showing me that to lift people’s spirits, I should share some of their teachings on the Element of Fire. Hence, some of what I share here will be channelled directly from the Angelic Realm.

I’m excited to see what they wish to teach us. They are asking me to just begin sharing what I already know about healing with Fire and they will fill in the rest!

7 Ways to Heal with the Element of Fire

1. Call on Archangel Michael

Archangel Michael is the ruler of the Sun and the Element of Fire. Calling on Him can help burn away negativity and attachments to things that pull us down. The way to call on him is to centre ourselves in feelings of gratitude. We show faith by affirming our inner knowing that when we call on Him, he always helps.

Thank you, Archangel Michael, for clearing all negative energy from my energy field now. Thank you for cutting the cords of negative attachments. As you remind me of what it is like to bask in the pure Christ Light from within, I give thanks one final time. Amen and so it is!

2. Light a candle

You don’t have to bless and dress the candle first. If you are feeling very down or depressed, you may not feel like it anyway. But you do have to light the candle with an intention in mind. Your intention should be something along the lines of dispelling darkness and bringing in more light from Source and the Angelic Realm.

You can be as specific as you like with the words you use. Repeat the intention in the form of an affirming prayer out loud three times. You can combine lighting a candle with saying the prayer affirmation to Archangel Michael above.

3. Play some music

Playing music can instantly lift our hearts. Make sure that you choose music that you know will have an uplifting effect. If you can play an instrument yourself, this can be even better. Because when you focus on playing your instrument, you instantly have to shift your thoughts away from what is weighing you down. And if you do not play an instrument, why not learn? It is never too late!

Stringed instruments are the ones usually associated with the Element of Fire. However, listening to music you can discern for yourself that Fire comes through in many forms and that music itself, as a direct communication from Source, is indeed a carrier of Fire.

You can, of course, combine putting some music on with the two suggestions above if you like. This is the beauty of healing with Fire. You can view it as building your campfire with as many bits of wood as you like!

4. Crystal Fire

Some crystals carry the Element of Fire very strongly. Ruby, the King of Gems, is possibly the strongest carrier of Fire. But not all of us can afford to keep a ruby on our person. And that’s okay. You can call in the Ruby Ray of Crystal Fire for healing without actually having a physical ruby close by.

That said, it can be very reassuring, soothing and healing to hold onto or wear a Fire Element crystal when we are feeling down. So here is a list of crystals that are associated with Fire for you to choose from:

  • Garnet
  • Citrine
  • Fire Agate
  • Red Jasper
  • Amber
  • Carnelian
  • Tiger’s Eye
  • Sunstone
  • Pyrite

All Fire Element crystals can boost vitality levels and increase our levels of joy, passion, drive and motivation. Experiment to see which one works best for you. My personal favourites are Citrine, Garnet and Amber.

5. Tarot meditation

Do a Tarot meditation with one of the Fire Element cards from the Major Arcana. The Element of Fire itself is XX Judgement. The Fire Signs are Temperance (Sagittarius), The Emperor (Aries) and Strength (Leo). Then you have The Sun and The Tower representing the two Fiery Planets. Jupiter (The Wheel of Fortune) rules both Fire (Sagittarius) and Water (Pisces). Alternatively, you can use the Ace of Wands, 3 of Wands, 4 of Wands, or 6 of Wands. The whole Suit of Wands corresponds with the Fire Element.

I teach a simple Tarot meditation in the post 5 Powerful Ways to Heal with the Tarot. In the same post, I also share how you can harness the vibrational power of the card by placing it directly on the body while you meditate on releasing any blocks or tension.

6. Spend time in the sun

This may seem the most obvious method of healing with the Element of Fire. Sadly, it is not always possible for us to bask in the light of our solar system’s Big Fireball. Many of us work during the daytime and can’t even go for a short walk during our lunch break. However, please do spend as much time in the Sun as possible. Did you know that it is especially beneficial for our circadian rhythm to catch the first rays of sunrises and sunsets?

7. Bonfire ritual

This could be as simple and improvised as you like. You could just gather some friends, throw some logs on and start drumming and dancing around the fire. Spontaneity is a Fire Element trait.

You could also turn it into a more elaborate ritual, implementing some of the ideas above and having an MC guide everyone through different steps. Just don’t make it too organised/detailed and leave some room for improvisation.

Ideal times in the Wheel of the Year for a bonfire ritual are Beltane, Samhain, New and Full Moons.
