There are many of layers of meaning for every card in the Tarot deck. This is especially true of the Major Arcana archetypes. Today we’ll take a look at using the Majors to Raise Your Vibration.
The Fool – The breath is the most powerful tool we have for channelling the vital life source known as prana or chi. Use your breath to bring your energy into your body.
Being fully embodied in the NOW is the best PRESENT you can give yourself.
The Magician – Words are magic. Use positive affirmations. My favourite affirmation is…
I am enough.
…because it instantly brings me a great sense of peace and acceptance.
The High Priestess – Read sacred texts or good vibe books and contemplate the passages that speak to you. Journal any thoughts that arise from this practice.
Your soul’s literacy and ability to interpret the language of symbols depend on what you feed it.
The Empress – Nature is the greatest healer. It has been scientifically proven that digging in the dirt can help against depression. Do some planting and if digging in the dirt isn’t an option, create something new.
The Emperor – Declutter and organise your work area. You are the boss of your own life. Do ONE thing that makes you feel more in charge today and watch your energy levels soar.
The Hierophant – Learn something new. Learning a new skill boosts brain power and if it is done together with a group of people, it also raises our happiness levels.
The Lovers – Make your mind up. Prioritise love. Make one conscious decision right now that will help you lead a more loving and compassionate life. Making more room for love in your life will always raise your vibration instantly.
The Chariot – Look over your daily routine and choose one daily habit that will develop your self-discipline. Set a time frame and stick with it for at least 21 days. Reward yourself when you have achieved your goal. Self-discipline is a muscle that we must strengthen if we wish to be successful. The reason self-discipline raises our vibration is that it makes us more confident and better able to trust ourselves.
Strength – Show compassion to an aspect of yourself that you usually berate with negative self-talk. Seek to understand rather than reprimand. Show your strength by being kind to someone who doesn’t seem to deserve it.
The Hermit – Seek silence. Write your thoughts down. Teach someone something that has helped you in the past.
The Wheel of Fortune – Focus on the thought ‘This too shall pass.’ Learn to centre your energy. Learn to feel it contracting and expanding. You cannot control the Great Wheel but you can do these two things:
- Centre yourself in the Great Wheel
- Be in charge of your own wheels (chakras)
Justice – Focus on creating beauty and harmony within and without. Begin by noticing and appreciating beauty in the world around you. Become mindful of beauty. Choose one area of your life to beautify.
The Hanged Man – Take the opposite view to what you normally take. Surrender the need to be right completely.
One of the quickest ways to raise your vibration is to surrender your need to be right.
Death – Embrace your mortality. Allow it to inspire you to be the best version of you so that you can die without regrets. Don’t put off until tomorrow what you could be doing today. Carpe diem!
Temperance – All things in moderation… What bad habit do you need to cut out of your life? What’s putting you out of whack? Own it. Change it. Not allowing addiction to rule your choices and general behaviour will instantly boost your vibration.
The Devil – What are you currently obsessed with or oppressed by? The Devil deals with the Shadow-side of life. Repressed urges and desires steal our energy and generate fear-based decisions – sometimes about the most important aspects of our lives. The only way to prevent energy leakage is to bring what we shoved into our unconscious mind into the light of conscious thought and deal with it.
The Tower – Accept anger as part of your healthy self-expression. While holding onto anger can make us ill, anger that is expressed in a healthy way and that nudges us into action can be a valuable asset. For instance, it gives the athlete a competitive edge. Repressed anger is much worse by far so release this energy through a good, hard workout.
The Star – Get involved in a humanitarian project, together with others. Invite your friends around for no other reason than to have a good laugh. Not staying in touch with friends is one of the Top Five Regrets of the Dying. Good friendships make us both healthier and happier. Contact an old friend today… and remember, strangers are only friends you haven’t gotten to know yet!
The Moon – Honour your intuition. Do dreamwork. The more you act on your intuition, the better able you are to relax and trust in yourself.
The Sun – Allow yourself to be happy today. Don’t feel you need someone else’s permission or that you have to achieve a certain status or standard in life first. ‘I wish I had let myself be happier.‘ is another of the top five regrets of the dying. All you have in life is this moment so make it a happy one.
“Folks are usually about as happy as they make their minds up to be.”
― Abraham Lincoln
Judgement – Align yourself with your Life Purpose. Those dreams you have are worth realising… They are the very reason you are here now. You have something unique to bring to the world. Make the choice to step firmly on the Path of your calling. This is the vibration booster that takes the most effort and for that reason is also the one with the greatest potential to completely transform your life. The trick is to break it down into achievable long- and short-term goals. That and visualising the outcome, which is you doing exactly what you are here to do to help others.
The World – Dance. That is all.

This was just what I needed to hear. Thank you so much Lisa. This has inspired me to go out and repot my plants this weekend as a way to heal from losing my dog Lyla. Also, I made room to love a new kitty I just adopted. Maybe he will enjoy me playing in the dirt and having him outside. I know Lyla will be there with us in spirit. <3
