How to Know if Letting Go of a Lover is for Your Highest Good

Letting go of someone you still love is one of the hardest things you will ever have to do in life. Many find it so difficult that they would rather stay and suffer instead. Because let’s face it, most uf us are decent people and decent people do not enjoy breaking the heart of another person… And when it is the heart of someone we love on some level, it hurts acutely because we feel their pain as our own (especially true for the HSP). There are probably as many reasons as there are people for why things do not always work out even when two people love each other. And then there is the classic… You were a great match for a while but then you grew apart. It happens even to those who swore it would never happen to them (I know because I used to be one of them). None of us like to admit defeat… So how do you know when it is time to say enough? It can be tempting to try to fix things and to examine the relationship dynamic endlessly for faulty patterns. That is all well and good if both of you are willing to do the work. But in the end, the person motivated to pack their suitcases is usually the one who has tried every trick in the book to resolve any long-standing relationship issues… while the other partner has just settled (big sighs). So on one level you already know that you are ready to say your farewells. It is at this stage many people turn to me as a reader and while I am happy to read on the situation, these days I will only read on what is the Highest Good for YOU in this situation. I cannot read on the other person without their permission. Besides, it really doesn’t matter what they do or where they are at with it all for the purpose of making the final decision. All that matters in this situation is that you do what is right for YOU (as you are the only person you can change) – and that is soemthing you can definitely use the cards to look at. So here is a little Tarot spread I created for that very purpose… You cannot make somebody else happy by sacrificing your own happiness. 1. Your relationship contentment levels – This card will uncover how even the flow of give and take is or if there is particular issue that keeps rearing its head. If a card that seems to indicate perfect contentment in every way, such as The Star or the 2 of Cups shows up here, I would encourage you to look a bit deeper by pulling an additional card. 2. What you need for your Soul’s growth – This is something you need on a very...

Lenormand Meanings for Love & Relationships

The Lenormand system of divination based on playing cards keeps gaining popularity so it seems timely to introduce these cards here, with meanings that are specific to love & relationships. If there is an interest in studying the Lenormand cards, please let me know in the comments below. I’m quite happy to add Lenormand card meanings and combinations to our vast and ever-expanding metaphysical online library. The following keywords relating specifically to love and relationships are meant as additions to the standard nouns and adjectives for each card (2-3 of each), so if you haven’t sorted out what those are yet, I suggest you do so first.  There are quite a few free Lenormand learning resources you can Google if you do not wish to invest in a book.   I recommend downloading Sandy Cristels FREE Interactive Lenormand for learning purposes. For those of you looking for something to hold in your hands, I recommend The Enchanted Lenormand kit which includes a phenomenal introduction to the Lenormand by one of the main authorities on card divination, Caitlín Matthews, as well as a pretty and easy-to-read-with Lenormand deck. Please bear in mind that the Lenormand cards are always read together with other cards. Each card is a ‘cipher’ with different possible meanings and gains its precise meaning in synthesis with other cards. The cards also operate on the near vs. far principle and the meanings change accordingly. It is a complex system to learn so be patient with yourself and allow your learning to take as long as it takes. It’s all good as long as you’re having fun! LENORMAND KEYWORDS FOR LOVE & RELATIONSHIP READINGS 1. RIDER (9 of Hearts) – a young & energetic lover, flirtatious young man, news related to a lover 2. CLOVER (6 of Diamonds) – getting lucky (pulling, one night stand), taking a chance on someone new 3. SHIP (10 of Spades) – yearning for love, overseas lover, love cruise (honeymoon on water) 4. Blind Dowsing for Mr Right Now

Sooooo… You’re not sure which one out of the two guys now vying for your attention is the right one? There can only be one answer: neither – at least for the role of ‘The One’… because when your soul recognises The One, all others fade into the background. But that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy some good company along the way, especially if you are not certain that you are ready to settle down yourself! Today’s post is more of a vlog really and I’m using my webcam so apologies for the picture and sound quality. I hope you can make out what I’m saying / showing and if you have any questions, please feel free to ask in the comments section on YouTube or here on the blog. For this divination technique, you will need pen and paper, two or more envelopes, a pendulum, a deck of cards… and, if you so desire, a candle to light before you begin, in order to invoke your guardian angel.   Angel Blessings Lisa...

Three Types of Men to Avoid and Sociopath Survival Checklist

Posted in Divination | 15 comments

MUMMY’S BOY – This one still lives at home at age 44. He’ll have very good excuses for doing so (divorce/unemployment etc), including being close to his mother. But this is not a man who loves his mother – it’s someone with an unhealthy tie to his mother, which is making him dangle from her apron strings in one way or another. There are quite a few of these who actually hate their mother and make no secret of it, yet they seem incapable of breaking free. How he’ll make your life hell: On some level he will always be comparing you to her. If he loves her, you will never be good enough and if he hates her, he will keep spotting similarities between you. What he looks like in the Tarot: Look out for combinations of his significator court card together with The Empress and The Devil (or the Empress reversed on her own if you read with reversals). He is more likely to show up as a Knight than a King but if you read with reversals, a reversal of the Kings can also signify immaturity. Often there is an emphasis on Water sign energies in their chart – hence I chose the Knight of Cups in this sample trio: THE BULLY – this guy uses various forms of bullying to get his way. At first it will be subtle… maybe simple withholding to show disapproval of what you are trying to accomplish in your communication. This is usually a guy who will blow hot and cold… first to ‘test’ you and then to control/manipulate you. He may have had one or two narcissistic or psychopathic parents and may display these traits himself. Father issues may be the root cause. How he’ll make your life hell: He will do anything he can to undermine your confidence and is less than liberal with verbal affection. Do not be mistaken, to this guy everything is about power and his words and actions are a means to gaining more power and staying in control. In his case, sex has nothing to do with actually making love and everything to do with proving that he is the alpha of the pack. His heart is shut down and shrivelled up and if you are at all emotionally well, you will be giving this guy wide berth right from the start. Those most at risk for hooking up with this type of guy are those raised by narcissists themselves because this type of behaviour then seems somewhat ‘normal.’ What he looks like in the Tarot: a)  The aggressive sub-type, aka the hot-head: The Emperor will show up, usually in the company of the Knight of Swords and possibly the Tower. The Tower and Emperor can both point to anger issues and the Knight of Swords can signify a more or less complete lack of...

List of Yes / No Tarot Card Meanings for Love & Romance Questions

In a post about Yes / No Love Tarot Techniques I posted not long ago, I mentioned the One Card Draw as a possibility. Some of you prefer a set list for Love Tarot meanings to work from, rather than delving into connecting with each card, so I obliged and put one together. Do feel free to print it out! Clicking on the individual links will give you more in-depth meanings for love and relationship readings. Personally, when reading for myself, I don’t use Court Cards to answer yes-no questions. If I turn one over when asking a yes/no type question, I take it as a sign that I’m not meant to ask at this point in time. You can work your way around this by separating the Courtiers from the rest of the deck or by turning the next card over until you get a Major or Minor Arcana card that will answer your question. However, you will get an extra dimension to this One Card reading by keeping the Courtiers in. If one shows up, you could see it as a mirror of an aspect of yourself that you need to integrate or strengthen before the cards will answer your question. List of Yes-No Tarot Card meanings for Love & Relationship Tarot Readings: MAJORS The Fool – Yes! New beginnings ahead but don’t ask for a commitment just yet. The Magician – Yes. Especially, if the question was ‘Will I hear from him/her?’ The High Priestess – No. Some things are hidden from view at this point in time. The Empress – Yes. Now is the time for sweet loving. The Emperor – Yes, but it may be all on his terms… is this really what you want? The Hierophant – Yes, wedding bells will chime. The Lovers – Maybe. A possible soul mate connection. Choices need to be made. A need for clear communication. The Chariot – No. The other person is too focused on their own goals at this point in time. Strength – Yes. Especially if all you’re after is fun and frolics. The Hermit – No. This is a time of isolation from others. Use this time wisely to learn from past mistakes. The Wheel – Maybe. It’s all down to timing. Do you feel lucky? If so, go for it! Justice – Maybe. Legal issues could prevent you from being together. The Hanged Man – Yes, but only if the situation can be transformed by gaining a new perspective. Death – No Temperance – Yes, but healing may be needed first. The Devil – No. Stay away as there is a risk of codependency. Cord cutting may be indicated. The Tower – No. Acts of God are keeping you apart. The Star – Yes. Your wildest dreams are about to come true! The Moon – Maybe. Caution is advised. Deception or self-delusion could...
